Seems like the face shape is too narrow for a kid, it probably would've worked a bit better if they didn't go for the EXACT SAME expression and had a greater variety of accessories. But yeah, I think they're pretty much done unless they put out something HT or Inart hasn't and are unlikely to release.

@@Riley.Reviews Yeah, I almost want to chalk it up to JND deliberately trying to go head to head against Inart/ Queen Studios to steal their thunder, which just seems kind of petty and short sighted. Really if they did something like a Pacino Scarface or a character from Train to Busan or something, they could've made a much bigger splash.

I don’t know what this company is thinking. The number of bad decisions they’ve made is astonishing. They’re the laughing stock of 1:6 right now imo. It’s the exact expression as InArt, only poor quality. The 2 chicken drumsticks are weird, sculpt and paint apps aren’t great, likeness is off, hair looks off. Tailoring is decent. Comes with almost nothing. They’re gonna be sitting on 5,000 of these for a longggggg time.

I got my JND the Batman after watching your review and I'm very thankful for your honesty, and I can't agree more on every point of view you said in this video JND has great details but they need to work on their headsculps and listen more to the collectors. After their Arwen release, preorders on their 1/6 Batman, and now this Ron.. I'm starting to doubt whether this company can survive

Haha yea man. The truth sometimes hurts but I feel it will better the company if they actually listen. I have a ventured interest in JND and do want to see them succeed, but their decisions and controversial likeness sculpts haven’t been convincing. Thanks for watching and giving great thoughts!

At 10:05 you summed up the main problem JND has since the begging with the statues: “That looks very detailed, but if you don’t get the likeness what’s the point?”. 90% of JND products suffer from that. They are SUPER ULTRA MEGA detailed… as A human being. But doesn’t resemble the actor. Look theyr Arthur Fleck or the Heath Joker for example. To be fair, both Wonder Woman and Mera are incredible. But at this price point, and intending to be the highest level of quality, they got more fails than hits. Cheers!

The JND CEO communicates the news on his KZbin, showing it as if he were communicating. However, he does not communicate at all about criticism of the company and its products Only some Korean fanatic followers praise it, and they don't listen to the criticism and improvements of overseas fans. Very interesting, thanks for sharing! It makes sense that he caters to his own market. It would be nice to hear opinions from all collectors though, considering this is a global license. Regardless, I do want the company to do well, and their premium versions look a lot better!

JND is overpriced and they aren't even THAT good as a whole anyways. Wouldn't be surprised if the whole company goes bust. Hot Toys ain't perfect either especially when they're notorious for using pleather and wonky ass materials for a multitude of their figures, but at the very least when they make a truly sustainable figure that will last, at least it's affordable and it looks good lol

Exactly, it may have material issues but one thing they typically get right is the sculpts, but JND seem to be lacking on all fronts. I haven’t seen a single thing that really impressed me other than the magnet eye feature. Everything else is gimicky imo

From my point of view I think there is a threshold for how much a mass produced 1/6 figure should cost. I don't know JnD pricing, but InArt to me is pushing the limit already. For that price, the quality has to be so high to justify it. Not just the quality of construction, but artistically has to have a very strong likeness to the subject it's portraying. Hot Toys is not "cheap" but if I get the figure and it's not perfect in every way, I am ok with that. If it's downright bad that's a different issue. With competition around it's great to see, the improvements HT has made from looking at their announcements this year. Interesting time for sure in the 1/6th market.

Im still curious to see how their Joker comes out. The sculpts are similar and I am not seeing the aging some people are saying. I do see way more redness in the JND sculpt vs. InArts. However the price point bet. Kojin lite vs. InArt....yea no. InArt looks to be the WAY better value. 5000 units huh? The JND faithful better come out in droves for this one. Thanks for vid!

To me the issue isnt even with JND, but just 1/6 companies as a whole. Obviously inflation has driven the price of everything in our lives through the roof, and were all bummed to see that 1/6 is falling victim to this too. If this figure was released at like $199 we’d probably be pumped. But $300 now being the baseline for both Hot Toys and now JND, were all getting much more critical of the products were buying. Were not willing to spend this kinda money on baseline products, but the sad reality is that this is where we are now.

While I agree that the figure ain't all that and could be improved, I don't think that means the '1/6 figure company will go out of business' as your title suggests. They literally already pivoted after the last PO which was only a few months ago, so it's clear they are trying to find their niche in this market. If anything we should encourage these companies to do better but the last thing we want is for there to be less competition. Before Inart and others people were annoyed at Hot Toys for never pushing the boundaries and always sticking to the same characters they knew would sell. Post Inart we see a different company in Hot Toys and a ton of competition and innovation that is making collecting more fun and enjoyable and giving us cool new options.

It looks wrinkly because he’s making a face . Even if you are a kid ,if you purposely distort your face with a grimace it will not stay flat and smooth . The only issue I see in the figure is the lack of detail in the sculpted hair . That’s not a great hair . Hey!! Don’t buy the cheaper ones. The premium figures look 100 times better and is the ones I want with rooted hair and silicone body. The premiums silicone ones are why JND is the best hyper realistic statues. I love their work. In art yes is better in plastic figures but that’s the game. I’m saving 2k to get the deluxe.

I would rather pay a higher premium for something that looks accurate to the figure than end up with something like this. At $312 USD compared to a Hot Toys figure at the same price point.. I would go with Hot Toys any day of the week! JND needs to wake up and stop before they lose more than they can chew. This is totally unacceptable for a 1/6th figure, and if you pay money for this I feel sorry for you, vote with your wallets people. We shouldn’t let things like this slide, especially in 1/6th scale.

Not sure where you’re checking, but I’m looking up InArt Harry sculpted which is 350-400, and Ron is $400 sculpted and comes with far more accessories so I feel it’s justified even if it’s more. Thanks for watching!
