Couldn’t agree with you more and something that you forgot, the new offensive coordinator prefers a 2 tight end set . The Raiders got a top 5 playmaker - who plays H back , in-line tight end , running back in gadget plays , slot receiver and wide out. Check out his break down for plays in college he played everywhere , the value of getting a top 5 player with the 13th pick is great value. But as I say every year ; it is Ridiculous to rate a draft when no one has played a single game , you won’t know the value until 2 years later. 1 quick example; Chase Young was a once in a generation player who was traded for nothing after just a few years

I’m going to tell everyone right now. Outside of Caleb Williams. Bowers will vastly outperform all the players picked before him. By the end of this coming season. People will realize how bad of a mistake they made in not picking him before the Raiders. He will make the Raiders QBs look like great players as he takes 5 yard dump offs and slants for 15 to 25 yards on a regular. And while scoring multiple touchdowns every other game. Raiders opponents in trouble. You put a LB on him he’s going deep. You put a DB on him he will run him over. GAME CHANGER!

Bowers is not a head scratching pick. You can’t pass up a generational talent at tight end like bowers and who the hell the raiders going to take at 13? Bowers is going to open up the offense so much and make Adams job easier he won’t be double teamed as much. Bowers can line up on the line, inside, in the slot and outside mayer can only line up on the line or inside. Then having a two tight end set will open up the passing attack and rushing attack for the raiders.

That’s funny he brings up Peyton manning cause maybe if him and Jim Irsay had decided to give him O-line that would make sure he doesn’t get touched and put on the ground often instead of being satisfied with only Jeff Saturday then maybe manning would have sustained that devastating neck injury that put a permanent timetable on how long he would be able to continue playing in the NFL. Which is why him colts parted ways and he went to the broncos who had a way better offensive line situation that protected him unlike the one he left and it’s no coincidence that his replacement had even shorter career not just with the team but in the NFL because they surrounded him with tons of weapons but zero protection and he ended getting the same injury that manning got way earlier into his career and he retired entering his prime because that injury guaranteed that later in his life he’s going to have to deal so much pain which no young man at his age should have to worry about not mention for him to make that choice means the colts killed his love for the game. So it’s not really head scratcher as to why the chargers went drafted the best offensive lineman in the draft to protect their best player because they know it doesn’t matter how many great weapons they give Justin Herbert cause it won’t matter if herbert is constantly being pressured and sacked and can’t throw the ball to his weapons. Just like manning if you give Justin all the time in the world it don’t matter if he’s throwing to a first round talent at WR or a WR from the second round or WR from the 5th or 6th round Herbert’s gonna get the ball to them and have them all look like they are 1st round WR’s. Which he proved in his rookie season when he was making plays with jaylen guyton and Donald parham Jr and guyton who both I believe were undrafted if I’m not mistaken and only was getting reps on practice squad and since Anthony Lynn refused to let Justin start and said tyrod taylor would be the starter no matter what in 2020 so Justin mainly only got reps with the practice squad during training camp and only few times did he get reps with starters and by regular season only got reps with the practice squad and his best weapons he made tons plays with were jaylen guyton and Donald parham. When herbert started week 2 against the chiefs at the last second he made plays with Allen and the starters and with guyton and parham who were also put on the active squad for that game and for that game and the rest of the season he plays with them that made you believe those guys must of been drafted as second or third round picks. So bottom line herbert can plays with any player given enough time in the pocket and as former head coach he should already know that and to say some stupid shit makes me scratch my head as to how he ever won Super Bowl as head coach in this league.

yes, as a fan, I was upset when they made the selection. But, it makes total sense. 1. protect Herbert we've seen Herbert hit a lot, even immediately after throwing a pass. 2. run the ball. chargers have NOT been able to run the ball for several years. they've tried, and failed. so, a good tackle helps both parts of the offense. a W R only one part. also, this draft was deep in W R talent. so, choice was, get a good tackle and a good receiver, or a great receiver and a mediocre tackle.

Whenever I hear about the Raiders 1st pick everybody says "why" then they think about it, do a quick work in their head and then say "ok solid pick" in under 1 or 2 mins😅😅😅

If you think throwing the football over 40 times a game and coming from behind every game and putting it on the QB shoulders to do so is good coaching then there is a reason you are not coaching anymore. Harbaugh is way smarter than you think and you will see. Go Chargers!!

If you think Bowers is a head scratcher then you DO not understand 11 and 12 personnel. The charger pic I agree on. They should have traded down! They needed more more picks! And they already have an All Pro at LT and he’s young. Alt is not taking RT money when he’s ready to sign a new contract. But I’m not for paying wr’s. 100 million either.

not picking O-Line is what prematurely ended Andrew Luck's career, and will likely do the same for Joe Burrow

Alt isnt just highly rated, he’s potentially a generational talent. Rarely does a 3rd round OT become generational. However 3rd round receivers often become elite. And yes Jamar Chase is great but ask Joe Burrows knee and shoulder how much they like not having Sewell level protection 🤔🫣

Bowers and Alt are far from head scratchers. They both will make an impact on their respective offenses Day one

If Burrow had a great O line maybe he wouldn’t be injured as much, maybe he wins the SB. Maybe coach has multiple SB’s…starts in the trenches

Every qb named in this video has been injured multiple times over the past few years for anyone to say they prefer a weapon over protection for any of these QBs is talking crazy

There was a reason why Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck didn't last as long as they should of with the Colts because they had no O-line whatever Tony Gundy is saying about how the Chargers should've drafted some star receiver should really be reflected upon himself about how his own Quarterbacks were derailed with injuries

Herbert was the most pressured QB in in football last year. He played with broken ribs in 2022 and 2 broken fingers in 2023. Alt was the absolute smart pick. Protect the franchise QB...

Drafting playmakers early is such a rookie mistake, low IQ move. Its emotional. The reality is you can find WR's and RB's late in the draft. Look at the packers, they dont drafter weapons in the first round for a reason. Charges made a good choice, tony is not an NFL GM for a reason.

They're not head scratching picks. How are taking the best players at their position, questionable. What were they supposed to do? Take a lesser player at a POSTION OF NEED? Draft ain't the only way to acquire players.
