I'm really bummed out that Kaylee Shimizu was eliminated on "The Voice" play off. In my opinion, Kaylee is an incredibly talented singer, and it's disappointing that she didn't make it to the next stage. However, I understand that success in a singing competition isn't everything, and many artists who didn't win or advance on shows like "The Voice" have still gone on to have remarkable careers in the music industry. I'll continue to support and follow Kaylee's journey, as she undoubtedly possesses incredible potential.

Saw Kaylee on the local Hawaii news show after her loss. She is still cheery & grateful (if only for the camera, then an outstanding actress as well 😅) and she’s now 18 with a bright future. The question asked in the title of this video isn't answered. Nevertheless, it's simple. He thought the three he chose were better contestants for the show. Kaylee has a lot going for her: range, technical ability, and pitch, but her youth shows. She substitutes acting for feeling when she sings, and it's because she hasn't lived enough yet. She also could use some further coaching on dynamics. I'm sure she'll eventually mature into her voice.

Kaylee had the weakest performance in John's team playoffs, because of the song choice and how she sang it. Lila Forde and Mac deservedly earned their spots. But it was still a wrong move for John to drop Kaylee because she has the potential to win. John may not know that Kaylee was a fan favorite at that time when the battles, auditions, and knockouts happened, but he should have a clue that she's a potential winner based on her previous performances, and charming teens oozing with talent usually garner votes. On a side note, the video did not answer the title question.

I seriously doubt that any of the otner judbes would have let her go! Whi!e she wasn't my favorite singer, despite her obvious expertise, she cettainly cou!d have won this season. My favkrite si ger was Alexa Wildish, who was the most emotive performer of the bunch, which honestly is saying a lot considering some of the otners. While she didn't posess the best tecnical skills, regarding perfect pitch etc, she was a gruly mezmerizing storyteller that I could watch for hours & whose concert I would attend over all the others!

You don't need to be Ed Sheeran or Beyonce to have a successful carreer in music. Only one person can win this show, though. Everyone knows that. Winning does not guarantee you success. Everyone knows that. The beauty of the Voice is that people have an enormous opportunity to gain thousands and thousands of fans, in a short space of time, in a way that social media alone, could not. Certainly not at the stage of their career that they are at. They have to grab that opportunity, welcome in the new fans and run with them. They have to give the fans what they want (more music presumably) and then they have the chance to sell them merchandise as well. Thosands of loyal fans streaming music, watching videos, and buying merch is a good start, while you write and create songs of your own. Of course Kaylee is going to be dissapointed, but what an opportunity these contestants have had, and Kaylee, obviously, realises that, and was very happy to have made it as far as she did, no doubt, gaining tens of thousands of fans, if not, an awful lot more. Why shouldn't she be happy?

Coaches see the performance once before making their decision while we are able to see the recaps & watch online. They don't see what we see. AND we are not able to FEEL what they can feel - the energy in the room or the singer's energy so we may not know best. She has an amazing voice & control but I saw no emotional connection when she sang. I was blown away by her technical skills but when you are in the room like the coaches are, you can feel what's happening - we can't. Mac is definitely not as vocally polished as Kaylee but the audience response during & after were VERY strong.
