He’s a disgusting, ugly, deformed human being who has (allegedly) suffered immeasurable emotional and physical trauma. I don't think Leto's Joker is bad in any manner, it's just that his role in SS movie was not important and people cannot accept someone else over Heath's Joker. He also resembles Joker from Grant Morrison and Scott Snyder's Batman runs, which are must read comics if you're Batman or Joker fan.
