Here for the tea - let's hear the man speak, finally! This is gonna be good.

Josh is a great guy. My wife and I left around the same time he did.

You left LSD as well? Same reasons?

6 months in it started to smell a lot like an old pyramid scheme. The only person in the company that made you feel like you mattered was Josh ,so we had loyalty there because he earned it. My loyalty stopped at Josh

Class and character speak for themselves. I will be snagging some Meridian Discs at drop. Love and respect Josh Thanks for sharing!

It is truly frustrating I'm sure to build something up from ground zero and create a brand you identity with only to watch it implode with horrific decision-making. Plus you get some #catchmeoutside vibes after the fact? Glad you found better Josh

Josh is the man!!!

I cant relate to Josh's past work environment at LSD. Its not easy dealing with Egos/ narcissistic, bullies in managment or if they are owner of the company. You can only take it for so long. Still going to bag the Tumbleweed tho😊

Josh is a real one! When he left Lone Star, I knew something wasn't right. Since I started doing some digging, I was suprised at how shady Terry Dillard's decisions were.

That was a fun listen. If Stokely doesn't hurry up and sponsor me, I'd consider Meridian. (Me making fun of me. I would literally have zero worth to a disc golf company. )
@YashaKoman10 ай бұрын
As someone that can’t stand Lone Star because I think they took advantage of a bunch players who weren’t smart enough to realize they weren’t actually sponsored…interesting to hear some of the stuff.
@Cabe7110 ай бұрын
most of us realized we weren't sponsored when the contract we signed said we needed to bag 90% LSD and needed to outright buy 30+ discs, that's why over 70% of last years team didn't reapply for this year. Many of us didn't realize that The Owner™️ was a malevolent dictator until the Q3 debacle where they cut the allotment by 42% after many got a special release with theirs, and then we were threatened with "you'll like what we give you or you'll just get an xout." it's exponentially worse than any of us thought, though. just wait till you hear about what they're doing with their Z/Champion/Opto type plastic 😏

I’m confused. If LSD is also oil money why try to squeeze every dollar ? And why regulate the players this way ? I wish Josh and ALL his endeavors the Best. I’m also sorry it went down this way for Josh. #teamjosh

Disc Golf is making them more money than the oil side.
@Cabe7110 ай бұрын
they easily got a conservative $800K just from the Team last year lol
@MichaelSweet-nn5bg9 ай бұрын
The oilfield equipment has a MUCH, MUCH higher margin than golf discs, and the volume sold is subject to national oil drilling politics. The golf side represents a much more reliable monetary stream.
@UncleBobbyJr9 ай бұрын
I would think as a business you would not want to mix money. At least not much of it. Oil money revenue would go back in to the oil business. Sure, you would use some money to help fund another business, but you would want a company to fund itself. You would want disc golf money to fund disc golf expenses. I could be way off here though.

No reason for him to be making this up. Sounds like upper management doesn’t know how to treat employees with respect. Not a good look for the LSD brand. Especially after all he did for the brand.

Yeah, I felt like he was being honest about everything that happened.

Gotta take allegations with a grain of salt. We have a possible disgruntled employee here lol. Josh Hofstra btw was behind alot of the media/ads/culture/ideas/etc that made people laugh at LSD in the first place. Always two sides to every story. He plays victim alot here in this video.
@matthewnellessen239010 ай бұрын
He’s the reason so many loved the company.

I clearly said in the video that I was NOT in charge of the final say on all marketing ventures at LSD. Might be time to rewatch the video 😅 Also, I would love to know your sources.
@chrisgreen708810 ай бұрын
How is he playing victim if he is showing proof through comments/tweets/posts? LoneStar displayed there character and because of that I can make a personal decision to not support them with my $$
@Discgolf3r10 ай бұрын
@@joshhofstra I clearly said ALOT of the decisions maybe you need to take a second look... u say they make the road blocks, yet you are the loudest most dramatic voice and you want them to allow their sponsored players to wear your companies logo on lsd players sleeves lol get over yourself.😅
