This is what makes me extra sad. Prosecutors do this all the time and it’s not caught because defendants can’t afford lawyers that will do the type of digging these lawyers did. Public defenders are overworked, they often wouldn’t even have time to look for this sort of stuff.

Prosecutorial misconduct is always Dismissed with Pred. Always. It's basically a hard rule. Covering up evidence is a clear Brady violation. The judge's hands were basically tied, it's the only outcome.

They are suppose to turn over EVERYTHING. Period. I know if I was on trial I wouldn’t want the prosecution to decide the culpability of the evidence in my case. They didn’t play by the rules and they certainly can’t be trusted to try him again. Unfortunately him being guilty or not guilty is a moot point now thanks to the prosecutions actions. Imo Prosecutor did not seem to recognize she was being as arrogant and reckless with evidence as she was charging Alec was with the gun, since this was not a capital case the results were not as immediately potentially deadly but there were a lot of pot meet kettle aspects. Again, IMO.

Thats why the prosecutor present all of the evidence. It's the courts that decides what evidence will be or not to be presented in a case. A rule of the court, all evidence collected must be turn over.

He had really sharp attorneys and they had already, in various motions, shown so many missteps by prosecution…So many kinds of prosecutorial misconduct in discovery, time lines pre trial etc. They just kept stacking up and the judge kept getting more&more angry. But, this was still a surprise! I think the judge knew there were too many holes in the case and too much shady behavior on the part of prosecutors. I don’t think this changes the HGR case because it doesn’t matter who brought the ammo. She was the armorer-she loaded the gun- she told them it was “cold” -she walked away and wasn’t even there when it was handed to A.Baldwin to check each shell as she should have.

The evidence came from Hannah's witness and her defence lawyer didn't want to use it because it made Hannah look more guilty. It was her lawyer that declined to use this evidence. Hannah isn't going anywhere.

This was a bs case from the start. He was handed a "cold gun", he did not have any reason to doubt that. Because I am sure he was handed a "cold gun" many times in his movie career and nothing happened. He trusted the person/s who was in charge of the weapon that it was safe. The prosecutor wanted to make a name for herself and cover herself in glory. She wanted to cattch a "big fish" to make her resumé shine Heck, the guilty party has already been found guilty and sentenced. So what was the purpose of this trial? Fame and notoriety (for the prosecutor). IT FAILED, SPECTACULARLY!! Thank you judge.

First rule of firearms safety! You never ever...ever! pick up a firearm, without going over it, and checking its state, It dose not matter whether you are an, actor, a hunter, or just a general firearms user. Baldwin should have known that, this is not his first acting role in an action film, with firearms. That makes him just a culpable as the armorer. PERIOD!!!

@@easynovember5423 At some point, a person has to be able to trust the experts who have been hired to do a job. The "armorer" was supposed to be that expert. If the subject had been a blind actor, or a child actor, you would perhaps understand better the role and importance of a gun safety expert (one of the armorer's duties) to the handling actor. In a hunt, it is not unusual to have an attendant, whose job it is to reload the firearms and to hand the reloaded weapon to a huntsman to fire. That person is knowledgeable, experienced and _trusted._

@@cherylj7460a lawyer that gets paid over $2k per hour (per billing logs submitted in another case) caught the problem and successfully argued why the case should be dismissed. The police and prosecutorial side of the system is what deliberately tried to hide the evidence. The system is also what brought these nonsensical charges to begin with because it was believed to be helpful to the reelection campaign of the original special prosecutor. In other words, this misconduct wasn't just confined to a single special prosecutor, it was multiple and involved the police.

Armorers only responsibility is making sure everyone is safe, making sure she has it with her, or knows exactly when she locks it up, and checks it. They also document every activity with it. If they cannot keep a set safe, there would be no reason to hire armorers!! But this Hannah Gutierrez definitely does have a nonchalant attitude about her. And that cost her.

I got arrested in Santa Fe a few years back. By far the worst jail experience i've ever had (yes I've had a few). They pretty much don't have a jail system, it's basically just a full on penitentiary. I don't doubt this stuff about this particular court system one bit.

It seems more like she, or someone else, had to have a motive - and a gun that was checked and was safe was replaced on purpose with one that was loaded with live ammo? This is way beyond that, this is done deliberately, they have to put the evidence on a different case number, then did not link the report, while the prosecution knew beforehand this evidence exist. I saw an interview with the prosecutor that resigned and she said that she did not resign because of it being public. She had a real issue with continuing the trial and actually addressed the matter directly to the court. She resigned because the prosecution team was not willing to drop it voluntarily. They were fighting it. The prosecutor who said that on the stand was lying.. aparently.

This is NOT a case of justice denied, the person guilty is in prison and rightfully so. The prosecution of Baldwin was an attempted joyride on the part of the Prosecutor to put a "Hollywood Celebrity" in prison for no reason. He was in no way guilty. Baldwin was framed by Gutierrez.

There was a reason why they could only charge involuntary manslaughter and not murder or manslaughter, there was no motive or intent, it's a tragic accident, sending him to prison for 18 months wouldn't bring her back and no amount of time is ever worth her life. He has to live with what happened that's enough punishment. The judge made the right decision.

It is NOT the job of the actor to open up the gun and check it. Someone is specifically hired for that purpose to mitigate all potential risks. The woman in charge of that did not do her job. She was held accountable. That is how it should be.
