I just picked up stacking again for the first time in probably twelve years with an old set that I bought in 2011 just because. This video explains everything. They're JW's 😂 I thought I just sucked until I got a set of HY's. Now I don't feel so bad lmao

I'm wanting to get into stacking but I have no idea about types of cups. Could someone explain to me the difference between these cups, better ones, and how to tell them apart. thanks

Basically anything on the speed stacks website right now is a great option to start with, though I would definitely recommend Pro Series 2 cups. These cups he’s stacking with in this video are no longer available for sale as they’re the older model and have a different kind of plastic. The plastic type, JW, is what made these cups bad as it made downstacks difficult, and no one really knows why the blues are so much worse. Their newer cups are made with HY plastic and have more holes in the tops (or just larger holes as well, in the case of both regular sets and Pro Series 2) to help with air flow and make stacks much smoother to provide to better times as a whole. For a beginner, I would suggest any regular set. They’ll be cheaper and they’re only slightly worse than Pro Series 2. They’ll be a great way to practice and get better. But both the regular/premium (aka special design/wild) sets and Pro Series 2 sets are fantastic after an hour of breaking in.
