On Arrow the original plan was to have Oliver end up with Laurel but they changed it because of the chemistry Oliver had with Felicity. Why cant they do that with Supergirl? Recognise that two of your characters have great natural chemistry and write it into your story.

Yeah ITA w/ you! The sad part is...because it's two female characters, it's what's holding them back. It reminds me of Destiel on SPN. I don't watch the show but I've always been familiar w/ the HUGE popularity of the ship and after watching a couple of Destiel edits, I definitely see why. Like Supercorp, Destiel have insane chemistry, years of slow-burn development, compelling story potential, a strong and profound bond built on friendship, respect, admiration, moral support and unwavering acceptance. They stood up for each other, supported each other and saved each other many times. They consider each other family. In fact I see a lot of similarities/parallels between Supercorp and Destiel or maybe that's just me. But yeah I fully believe that if Castiel was a woman, Destiel would've been canon/endgame long ago...just like if Lena was a man, Supercorp would've been canon/endgame long ago as well. As for Olicity, even though I don't ship them like I used to, I understand why people do. It's a relationship that's been built since Season 1 and the show decided to take a chance on them despite OIiver/Laurel being the canon/endgame ship in the comics. Why should it be any different for Supercorp? If the chemistry and story potential is there, then that should be all the more reason to go for it. And Supercorp have it in spades. They could be one of the most iconic, groundbreaking and compelling love stories if the show just took a leap of faith without fear. The impact that they have made on fans in such an empowering way. This is the pairing that generates major buzz and get people talking, whether people ship them or not. Chemistry between two actors on-screen is rare to come by and Melissa and Katie have "lightning in a bottle" chemistry on-screen that you don't see often but when it's there, it's undeniable and shouldn't be overlooked. In fact I never been this passionate about a non-canon ship since Harry/Hermione (among other non-canon ships as well) but that's another story. Regardless if Supercorp ever becomes canon or not, for me they are the true love story of the show and they are soulmates. Nothing can convince me otherwise. Sorry for the long comment, I couldn't help myself lmao.

Yeah I agree w/ you. LoT has amazing representation and Avalance is a beautiful and compelling love story. The fact that the show-runners are so scared and heavily focused on Kara/Supergirl's sexuality/gender (which is insane since she's an alien. It reminds me of the Doctor from Doctor Who), their heteronormative agenda, all the while diminishing their LGBTQ characters' screen-time (Nia and Kelly) and not giving them a proper story (Alex, Kelly and Nia) speaks volumes. If Kara or Lena were to develop feelings for the other, I can see the show having Lena develop feelings for Kara. But since the show-runners/CW are so persistent on having Kara been seen as "straight"...well you get the picture. That being said, I will do my best to stay positive and hopeful while keeping my expectations low. Regardless of what the show does, I still believe in Kara/Lena's story. There is a link that I would like to share w/ all the fellow SC shippers on here that is a VERY good read. I'll share it under this comment section but also share it under a new comment so everyone will see. A veteran soap opera writer (God rest his soul) came up w/ a list on "How Not to Wreck a Show". It could relate to ANY show, not just soap operas. He gave valid and articulate thoughts on the subject and this could be very helpful for the show-runners/writers/CW to take notes from and learn from it. The points he made were on the mark, especially #2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 (the last one you can simply replace it w/ "a good show is good storytelling. Love this😍 My favorite thing about Supercorp is how Kara will never stop believing in Lena. Even when everyone else judges Lena, even when Lena doesn't believe in herself, and even when Kara is hurting because Lena is pushing her away- Kara still believes in her every time.

I think part of the reason why Lena is so hurt by Kara keeping the secret is she thought that they knew everything about each other and that they had reached a level of intimacy within their friendship that she really thought she knew who she was.Imagine having trust issues and being burnt by everyone in your past but meeting this amazing woman and developing a friendship that’s closer to her family like and you open up even though you swore you wouldn’t and you’re vulnerable with her and she just proves you right- that you never should’ve opened up in the first place. I think her being hurt by Kara just scratches the surface- it re-opened a much deeper wound and I think that’s why she’s reacting the way she is.

I never clicked so fast in my life. First, I just to say thank you for doing this amazing edit! You not only conveyed and expressed the reasons why Kara & Lena are soulmates in such a beautiful way, you did it for every single one of us who believes in their story and why we love them so much. ❤❤❤This is absolutely beautiful, heartfelt and moving! It brought tears to my eyes. 😭 As for why I love Supercorp, goodness there's so much reasons why but one of the main reasons is because of the strong bond they have. Despite the conflict between them now and even from before back in 3B, they have the kind of connection that is deep and profound; a soul connection. They bring out the best in each other and inspire each other in ways that most people don't. Aside from Alex, Lena is the most important person to Kara and she brings out the humanity in her. While Kara's unwavering belief, acceptance and love for Lena had shaped her into the person we saw in Seasons 2-4; the person who let her guard down for Kara and grew to believe that she is capable of love, acceptance and happiness and that she is so much more than her family name. Through their relationship we saw them grow as individuals. We also see that despite the conflict and distance between them emotionally this Season, deep down they can't live without each other because of the impact they made on each other's lives. No matter how much Lena tries to push Kara away, true to character and true to history, Kara hasn't given up on Lena and she never will. It is that unwavering belief, love and acceptance that will eventually get through to Lena in the end hopefully and bring her back to the light. No one has ever loved Lena like Kara has, whether it's platonically or more. And Kara has never fought for anyone the way she has fought for Lena. The only other person she will risk everything for is Alex without question. It is because of that strong connection between Kara & Lena, the lengths they go to protect each other and how much they inspire each other for the better is why I believe they're soulmates.

The sad fact is that if it was a men on lena's place they would be that epic couple already since the beggining. The writers just throw any MALE character as a love interest for Kara I mean they not even try to build a good and decent person before I do not ship supercorp more than just friends, but the chemistry and the love that they feel for each other is giant and it gives me nausea the homophobia behind the story this just became so big that's not just about representativity anymore is just the most natural and best choice to make. So true! Can we all take a moment to reflect on Melissa's acting choices? From the way Red Daughter first spoke Lena's name with a soft smile to reading about her in Kara's diary to dressing up as Kara and checking her reflection in the mirror w/ a soft, bashful look just to make a good impression. ❤ And then when she finally meets Lena, she looked at her the SAME way that Kara did when they first met...a look of awe and wonder while being tongue-tied. However she wasn't even subtle as she literally couldn't take her eyes off her even when Eve came in the elevator. Hell she even went as far as to check her out as Lena left 😂
