When this story is over, Hangman will be the face of aew with the Aew world title it has to be it A Elite reunion is there but Hangman will realize that he was never the odd man out he was the true glue of the elite Every knows that He’s a truly great wrestler But this story strips everything away from him Friends, well brothers, tag partner And leave him with his drinking problem and the fans And it is up to him to fight his way into a title picture With a certain clean wrestler And we may see the young bucks on Hangman side, like how he wanted for the Jericho match

His redemption arc will be great, especially if it's winning the world title against a heel Kenny
@SeanStrife4 жыл бұрын
@@hunterhorsehelmsley7315 I actually think it could play out differently, especially given how the last Dynamite went. I think, with Kenny wanting to become world champion, nothing would make Kenny Omega snap into "The Cleaner" quicker than seeing Hangman Page beat him to the World Title. The man the entire Elite felt like they were carrying this whole time beats them to gaining gold, be it with Hangman Page (and Kenny Omega) beating The Young Bucks to getting the tag belts first or, with Kenny, Hangman Page getting the World title before him. If anything, it's not just a tale of Hangman Page and how he's lost it all; it's a tale of The Elite and their hubris; feeling that because they ARE the ones calling the shots in AEW, that THEY should be the ones who hold the gold but now they're having to fend off hungrier talent, whether it's younger talents wanting to make a name for themselves (like Private Party, Sammy Guevara, Ricky Starks, Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, and MJF), indy veterans who are just now getting their shot in the spotlight and are gonna make the most of this opportunity (like Eddie Kingston, Lucha Bros, Brian Cage, CIMA, Colt Cabana, Lance Archer, and Orange Cassidy... kinda) or people who were done dirty in bigger promotions who want a chance to prove they really are some of the best in the world (like Jon Moxley, Brodie Lee, FTR, Matt Hardy, PAC, Shawn Spears, and now Miro). This was supposed to be THEIR coronation as the true best in the world... but it's not played out how they wanted it; hell, one of the Elite had to MAKE a belt for himself to be able to hold until he ultimately got destroyed by a hungrier Brodie Lee. And now that nothing is playing out as they had hoped for, they've begun to completely snap under the pressure; Cody not even sure if he's with The Elite anymore and sort of retreating into the comfort of the Nightmare Family as a result, The Young Bucks assaulting backstage personnel, and now Kenny having lost the belts and wanting to go for for the AEW World Championship. What a final nail in the coffin it'd be if Hangman Page beat him to the punch in becoming the next AEW World Champion, whether it is, indeed, off of Jon Moxley, or if it's off somebody like a Lance Archer or an Eddie Kingston, which would just make Kenny absolutely snap (especially if Omega winds up getting a shot first and ultimately fails in capturing the World Title).

AEW is doing a wonderful job with Hangman Page to turn him into the Ace that everyone in The Elite knows he is. Instead of rushing and putting the belt on him, when he was much less over, and people could have turned on him, they used his loss against Jericho to inform a journey to babyface stardom that I've never seen on wrestling. It's a shame that half of this story has happened without crowds though. But I'm loving it so much. And let's not forget how talented he is as a singles wrestler. An amazing mix of power, athleticism and toughness.

This comment really hasn't aged well, even the biggest AEW fan has to at least admit Tony Khan is struggling if not completely lost his mind. He needs to stop trying to be everyone's friend and try and book something that actually appeals to new fans, and not just a bunch of smarts. Obviously the horse has left the barn as far as anyone believing it's real but rubbing peoples face in it is never gonna attract new fans. People knew that wrestling was predetermined back in the attitude era but Steve Austin didn't insult the fans by going on twitch and playing super Mario after wrestlemania (before any smart arse tries saying it, I know twitch didn't exist then). if AEW is still around in 5 years I'd be incredibly surprised, if its still on TV in 2 the same.

Its so appropriate that I'd catch this video right as they are about the pull the trigger on the Omega/Hangman feud. There are so so so many layers to this and its the best story in wrestling and Hangman has the best character arc in wrestling by far. Its so incredibly relatable that its impossible not to want to see Hangman find that "never say die, never give up" attitude that most babyfaces will just have by default. They have humanized Hangman in a way that I don't know if any wrestling character has been portrayed ever. Hangman's crisis of confidence and all his self doubt on display is profound. And then there is the way he has leaned on The Dark Order to have some place that he feels like he belongs, its such a wholesome story arc. Its as if The Dark Order are the island of misfit toys, while his former friends in the Elite have undergone sharp personality changes clearly letting the success go to their heads (in a storyline sense) the anxious, millennial cowboy is pooling his will, summoning all his strength to turn and face his former best friend in Omega and prove to his new friends, his former friends and most importantly prove to himself that he can finally win the big one when it matters most.

Seriously, it's just mindblowing how perfect this is. It's the most flawless story in recent wrestling history. Even other great stories like Becky Two-Belts were tainted by botches in Vince's meddlesome booking that prevented them from being this perfect, like crowbarring Charlotte into the story between Becky and Ronda and booking an unsatisfying ending where Becky just rolls Ronda up (which was promptly botched). The Elite have not put one single foot wrong in this story, and when it's so dependant on such tiny details that's simply amazing. Also, AEW's camerawork has just been _spectacular_ during this, from Hangman staring at himself in the broken mirror, to him turning around to hand Kenny his belt only for Kenny to have left the ring while off-screen, to Kenny contemptuously kicking the beer car directly into the camera. It's just... perfect.
