Gave the worst possible scenario for a bishop to justify your point. Knights are better in closed positions but bishops are far better in open positions. The bishop pair in an open position vs knights isn't even close. The last counter point is a well positioned bishop can shut down half a knight's legal moves. It's always situational but imo bishops are better on average.

Yes, these positions are purposefully selected to show the situational power of the knight. In real games, of course both pieces have their advantages and bishops can be argued to be slightly better overall. But again, it all depends on the situation.

in endgames if its 1 bishop vs 1 knight and several pawns you can put your pawns on the opposite color of the bishop but knights can move both colors so you can easily take your opponents pawns

I understand this is a joke video, but to be serious - while knights can dominate the bishops, the bishops dominate the knights more often and that's due bishop's greater mobility. The bishop is a better piece but of course depending on the position, a knight can be preferable sometimes.

The Knight's advantages over a bishop do not outweigh its lower overall mobility from the middlegame onward and long range potential. You are right about all of the knight's advantages. They're just not enough to compensate 2 knights for 2 opposite color bishops.

Bishops because 2 bishops work better togheter than 2 knights, and bishops are better than knight at delivering checkmate, and win pieces who king is pinned to, knights can just fork, bishops can scewer, pin&fork, therefore 1 bishop is more powerful than 1 knight unless closed position, so all what matters in pieces's power/value are only open position

Bishops are more about area control and freezing pieces because their long range helps them a lot with that which makes them a pretty good end/middle game piece. horses are more like opening pieces or for forks because no other piece can move like them. imagine if horses were more valuable than bishops and vice-versa chess would be really different

Bishops are better 75% of the time than knights because open positions are more likely than closed, endgame is the best part of the game, even in middle games usually bishop outshines a knight, single bishop vs single knight the bishop can assist pawns better it can draw against 2 bishops whereas a knight fails to do so if tho it requires 50+ moves for the bishops, bishops have colour weakness but bishop pair solves that making bishops atleast a 4 point piece when its in pairs

I do believe that the value of the two is quite even. Bishops are better in open positions while knights are better in closed. It’s easier to force an open position and all closed positions eventually open up

If the games are being played at a lower level then I’d say the knight is superior to the bishop as lower rated players do not calculate sequences further than roughly 2 moves I’d say increasing the chances of blundering a fork to the better player however once we’re out of the three digit elo range and into the not so blunder on move 5 range is where the real debate takes place, as a KID / KIA player, I do find my fianchetto bishop being useless for half of the game as it’s blocked in by my knight and or just staring at a pawn blockade while my knight is actually doing something like supporting my pawn breaks or hopping to a valuable post or rerouting to a good attacking square, however I do gotta give the bishop it’s fair share of praise as in endgame’s where the centre’s been ripped open and much more squares become available there’s more value to be found with the bishop compared to a knight as its superior mobility and ability to pin / skewer pieces become a valuable commodity. There’s great arguments for both pieces, but in my opinion I think the knights are better in the early to mid game and fall off slightly in the endgame whereas the opposite is for the bishop in which they are worse in the early to mid game but get better in endgames, honestly I gotta agree with the universal value 3 for 3 even, I can’t see either piece as superior as they’re both solid pieces which are better than the other in their own ways, positing the question which is better knight or bishop is like having a pc mother choose 1 of her 2 kids to save in a life or death scenario. There simply is no correct answer
