The ending was actually pretty damn clever. It did something to us that no other movie has done before. Think about it, Throughout the whole movie, after the internet went out, all Rose wanted to do was find out what happened to the end of the show "Friends" and was WONDERING about the characters in the show. The movie ended with her watching the end of "Friends," leaving us now wondering about the other characters in the movie, immediately having us trade places with, Rose without us even realizing it. When the movie ended, if you started asking questions like, "did the other characters make it to the bunker or not" then congratulations, you fell for it, because that's exactly what they wanted you to do, which is trade place with Rose without you knowing it.

The little girl wasn’t ignoring what was going on. She was shielded for the most part. Her mother even made mention of her wanting the kids to not know what was going on. The little girl was a representative of her generation. Focused on instant gratification and distraction, like the little boy at the beach entrance on his gaming device. She bypassed all the important things to what she felt was important. Junk food and friends!

There several references of slavery and racial undertones in this documentary. The reference of the numbers 1619, one being the radio station was on 1619 in the car, when Clay was driving alone. Also, the market that Amanda goes to is name Point Comfort Marketplace, well in late August, 1619, 20-30 enslaved Africans landed at Point Comfort, today's Fort Monroe in Hampton, Va., aboard the English privateer ship White Lion, which was the name of the ship that came ashore while they were at the beach. Clay drives past a sign that says Taney Farms, named after the 5th Cheif Justice, Roger Taney who ruled that black people could not be considered US citizens, nor could the government prohibit slavery. Some of the items stored in the bunker have been exposed to be racially insensitive. Aunt Jemima Uncle Ben Rice Cream of Wheat Indian Head Corn Meal InJun Orange Drink Mix Dixie Beer Trader Jose' Mexican Beer Barilla Pasta - who is the president of the company, and has a history of making homeopathic comments. There's so much more, but I'll leave that right there.

The 6 people in the house were safe. The changing paintings on the livingroom and bedroom walls were their televisions. It showed them what was happening on the other side as it happened. Both paintings turned into chaos. The 6 people in the house represented the remnant that God promised to save. Animals run away from danger and to safty. The animals ran on their side. The deers that Rose saw represented safty. If a deer is safe, so is a human. The flamingos likes shallow salty waters. The pool was deep and chlorine filled. But all other waters were contaminated from war and dead bodies. The flamingos were safer in strange waters. Just as the people were. The deers scared the black girl who didn't care for white people, but a white woman came to her rescue. She unsuccessfully tried to scare the deers off. The deers were in unity and didn't leave until the two women also formed unity. There was a great war on the other side that sparked a civil and a race war. The six people was spared from that. The bunker would save their lives. It represented a new beginning, a new world, and it served as Noah's Ark. They ended the movie with the friends theme song; I'll be there for you. They were all eachother had now. They all had to leave their world behind. The kid had to leave modern technology, the horney teen had to leave porn behind, the young adult had to leave racism behind, the adult woman had to leave hate behind, the owner of the house had to leave the business world behind and Clay had to man up and leave fear behind.
@poeticallycorrect16769 ай бұрын
Interesting that you saw it as the Black girl not liking white people, and I saw it as the White woman not liking Black people. They rented their home to White people, slept on the basement of their own home, and allowed them to return after the Tesla scene. Meanwhile, the White woman immediately did not trust them to be who they said they were or to have what they have. She was rude and disrespectful, and unnecessarily distrustful of the Black people. The Black girl had no issue sharing her vape pen with the white man, and she also had no issue with calling out the White woman’s racism and prejudice. In the end, the White woman had to overcome her personal issues to see value in the Black girl’s life, then she went to help her. Just sharing another viewpoint.
@gotflyinformation4579 ай бұрын
I think the black girl interpreted Julia Robert’s character as being racist due to the fact that Julia Robert’s just did not like PEOPLE. At first glance Julia came off as a deserving, privileged white woman that wants everything catered to her while relying on and stepping on others around her to get it. I felt the same way about her majority part of the movie.

I think there are more racial undertones than meets the eye. White Lion is the name of the first ship that brought over the first kidnapped enslaved Africans. Also there was a QR code of in the cyberattack map. It’s of a haunted theme park that is the home to the Shawnee people that was linked to a family named Clay, English Settlers, that settled on their land. It’s linked to burial site of children’s graves and unexplained deaths. Both families mix the Clays, are essentially a representative set of Settler Colonialism.

This is what I got from the movie that Rome fell because of the distractions from “Bread & Circus” (Food & Entertainment). That’s what is happening in America now with all the distractions of bread & circuses that barely anyone is paying attention to what’s going on around them. Once the characters distractions were taken away they slowly started paying attention. The girl “woke up” the fastest and tried to warn the others of dangers and questioning her reality but no one paid heed to her. Finally the girl takes things in her own hand but sadly the moment she got back her Bread & Circus distractions she automatically fell back into her comfy ignorant bliss. We need to stay away from distractions so we can help prevent the Fall of America before it’s too late. 🤷🏻♀️ Just my humble opinion.

Out of curiosity, I checked the movie's rating on imdb, and I couldn't believe my eyes! The movie had terrible ratings. Then I noticed that dozens and dozens of reviews were absolutely identical, word for word, denigrating the movie, urging people NOT to watch it! Clearly generated by bots. It's a shame because its imdb rating is really low as a consequence. So many people decide to watch a movie based on imdb's ratings. Why this sabotage of an excellent movie? A bit like the movie "Don't look up" where the ruling government urges its followers not to look up at the comet heading towards Earth. It is end of December, and, for me, this movie is a definite contender for awards.

April 8, 2024 happens to be the date of the next Total Solar Eclipse. Also, April 8th is celebrated as the birthday of Gautama Buddha in Buddhist traditions. The word Buddha means “the Awakened One.” His mother’s name was Maya, which coincidentally is the name of G.H.’s wife and Ruth’s mother who never made an appearance in the movie. The name Maya means “illusion” or “dream.” This symbolizes the Veil of Illusion that is placed over us when we reincarnate into this world. Maya (Buddha’s mother) died on the exact same day of his birth. This is a metaphor of the Illusion dying after One Awakens from the Dream.

The amusement park was in the show
@infinitelyblessed3599 ай бұрын
It's interesting that the Lake Shawnee Amusement park was featured in the movie because Lake Shawnee park is abandoned and has been for many years. However, I've seen it featured on Destination Fear with Dakota Laden and his friends. It was said that Lake Shawnee Amusement park was originally a native American burial ground, however, at some point in time, a settler built his home on it and 2 of his children were massacred while the 3rd was rumored to be taken by the indians. The dad who was away from the property came home to see his kids murdered and he Buried them on the property. The burial plot and headstone are still there too. Why the movie would feature it is still a mystery to me but it could have something to do with the fact that the amusement park had several deaths connected to it concerning children and we know how much the government and the evil people in the deep state loves to mess with kids. Anyway, I'm sure if anyone looks it up online they can read for themselves that a little girl died on the swings by a truck that backed up into her & after that several more deaths occurred in the park until it was finally closed for good.

There are some very good websites about Point Comfort/Fort Monroe, and also Fort Mose, which was on the sign alongside Point Comfort. This film’s historical references would take days to read about. It’s worth it though.

I hated the movie when it ended because I felt it made no sense to me. After watching your video and a few other here on youtube, I guess this was a brilliant movie that shows us how our society is today, still racist, selfish, totally dependent on the internet and technology, getting more distant from nature and from each other. Suddenly, they felt lost, with no internet or any kind of source of information, they did not know what was truth or lie, they didn´t know who to trust or what to believe, they felt threated by the black man and daughter, by the animals in the forest, but as time passed by they started getting along, breaking the barriers, and at the end, the little girl taught us as you said, that it doesn't matter that the world around you is falling apart, you´ve got to stand up and do something for yourself, and find some time to just enjoy life, as she did. We all need to disconnect a little from technology, and connect more with each other, with people around us, with nature, believe more in the human nature, worry less about problems that we have no control of, and find time to enjoy life, the best way we can. Thank you.

@@thebrimtruthreviews I appreciate your comment. Thanks for responding. Voting in the right person can affect foreign policy, how laws are enforced, and our economy. War can affect foreign policy and relationships with other countries and economy. I know there are other issues that are important too. What do you think matters most? Is it focus on more local governments and education? I don't understand how voting and war doesn't matter or what you mean by that.

Wow it's more to this movie than you realize. Time is near where all nations will pay their debt. The name on the ship white lion, you're wrong about the White Lion. The White Lion was the first slave ship. In late August, 1619, 20-30 enslaved Africans landed at Point Comfort, today's Fort Monroe in Hampton, Va., aboard the English privateer ship (White Lion.) And I thought it was the good ship Jesus. Anyway the radio frequency was 1619, the date the ship arrived in the Americas. In the Bible verse Deuteronomy 28:68 say we'll be sold to our enemies. The Young melanated woman said to her dad in bed not to trust white people mostly. It also says in the Bible not to trust your enemy. But yet in the end they were holding hands. In the Bible States no joining hands with the wicked. Proverbs 11:21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Isaiah 13:13-16 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. The painting of The water rising basically represents the times of Noah. The blocks on the table represent Babylon falling. The other picture look more like a hard monitor with the lines going up and down and then as the movie moves on it's in disarray. Let me stop here this is a bit too long.

Yes, I have to say I did not pick up the racism. But now I understand what people are seeing. I honestly Have never thought of racism growing up. And I admire black and brown men and women. they are exquisitely beautiful and exotic. And most of all very strong! Everyone at some point in time in life and history has been ridiculed. You have to live in our time. And make our history. By our own beliefs and sharing. not by thinking. We have to make up for what other people did in the past

@@KristaRiebel that's absolute Insanity people today cannot ever and should not have to make up for what people did in the past there's a reason why the rear view mirror is so small and the windshield is so large , no one today owes anyone anything.
