Espn with a billion dollar budget: Guys yelling about if a recent trade will hurt a team based on surface level "analysis" and uneducated opinions. Basically treating the NBA like it's a reality show with written characters. @aveiz1003 жыл бұрын
@@macbrylle091188 KCP was gonna get traded regardless of whether he made that possession OP was talking about or not. Cap space was not that big of a factor either. The main and most important reason KCP got traded was because Russell Westbrook was available to trade for from the Wizards and the Wizards were willing to trade Russ for KCP, Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, etc. The Lakers main priority was getting Russ or another superstar like him no matter what. And even if you think Russ is not a superstar that doesn’t matter, because clearly the Lakers think Russ is a superstar and that’s all that matters. They did the trade to form a Big 3 to compete and help them stay healthy through the season and the playoffs, allow LeBron to play off ball, give AD some games to rest while Russ and LeBron plays together, help attract cheap free agents to the Lakers cause they want to play with a Big 3 of Bron, AD and Russ, etc. Overall the Lakers would’ve liked to keep KCP if they could as long as they have Russ too, but if they were forced to choose, they went with Russ and gave up KCP. In short tl:dr, Lakers traded KCP for Russell Westbrook because they had to. Not because of that single possession above or cap space. The Wizards wanted KCP for Russ, they got him.

He won't play off ball because LeBron never sacrifices his game to play in any other system other than running his own system where he can padd his stats and LeBron and Westbrook won't work out because 1. They both play for stats which makes them the Greatest Stat Padding duo to ever exist and 2. Eventually they will start causing fights and arguments on and off the court just because one of them won't be getting their triple doubles and 3. LeBron will force Westbrook to run off screens for catch and shoot threes which will stuff up the entire team because Westbrook will be throwing up a bunch of bricks.
