Ever wondered why you can see lions chilling next to your safari jeep? This video busts the myth that lions are just used to tourists. The real reason is way cooler! We'll reveal why lions see your jeep as a giant, unappetizing mystery, not a yummy lunch. But step outside that vehicle, and things get REAL!

Cheetahs 🐆 don’t attack humans. They’re pretty much like nervous , big dogs. And they pair well with Golden Retrievers especially in zoos. The dogs apparently help to keep the cheetahs nerves in check. There was a game warden somewhere (South Africa I think) where cheetahs came and started sleeping with him at night. His coworkers thought he was making it up until they saw the footage. The cheetahs were super cuddly.

@@quilmoney6100 I could only find 2 incidents of cheetah attacks that ended in a fatality. The first being a 3 year old toddler who was left unattended in a Tiger Breeding facility, in South Africa. The other was some nut job in Belgium (ironically named Karen)who hid in the zoo until after it closed. And then she snuck into the enclosure of a cheetah she had adopted. The first incident is terribly tragic and the fault of the child’s idiot parents or guardians who thought it was a great idea to bring a 3 year old child to a film maker’s home that was also tiger breeding facility in South Africa. I’ve seen a lot of footage of White South Africans doing idiotic things with wild animals. Like the guy who was convinced he and a male rhinoceros that lived down river from him, were “friends”. He thought it was great fun to “ride” the rhinoceros in the river. Well, he thought it was great fun, until the rhinoceros killed him. The other, non lethal attacks of humans by cheetahs: the humans seemed to think they were no “big deal”. They got the distinct impression that the cheetahs were playing. Apparently both cheetahs and domestic cats play in the same way. They combine play behaviors and predatory instincts. So sometimes playing with a domestic cat can result in a scratch or a bite. The same thing can happen with a cheetah. I saw the footage of another game warden who wanted to study night time cheetah behavior. One of the cheetahs had a previous injury and she didn’t have great control of her bite strength. So he wouldn’t play with her in the same way he played with the other cheetahs. They were all snugly with him at night. One cheetah insisted on being his pillow. He didn’t get any more than a couple of minutes of sleep each night. The cheetahs were super excited he was there and pretty playful.

@@quilmoney6100cheetah has a decency to toy with their prey. When they're not on the hunt they won't attack the prey but just keep the animal in check inside the cheetah comfort zone waiting for lunch time to come. @@quilmoney6100…and yet you were never actually attacked, were you? Serious cheetah attacks on humans are so rare that they’re almost statistically irrelevant. (In other words, they essentially never happen.) Pretty much ALL cats exhibit the behavior you described. My cats literally do the exact same thing when they want to play. …and they’d never dream of actually hurting me. Lol Also, cheetahs aren’t the same type of ambush predator as leopards or jags. Cheetahs don’t have that same instinctive “trigger” when you turn your back on them. Lots of cheetah caretakers have shown this in experiments that you can find on KZbin. (Dolph Volker is a good one) I have friends in South Africa who specialize in cheetah conservation and from what I can tell, cheetahs are some of the most chill cats in the whole feline family. As OP said, cheetahs are literally so sensitive that they often need emotional support dogs when living in captivity. …and regardless of the dog’s size, it’s almost always the alpha of the relationship. 😂 Cheetahs are quite timid cats because of their place in the food chain. …and even if one were to attack, it would have a hard time actually killing you. Their claws aren’t really sharp and they have a much smaller head with much less bite force in the jaw. They are also not NEARLY as strong as other cats their size. All they can do is run fast for short bursts and choke out smaller animals. They can’t tear you apart like a lion or cougar. Sounds to me like you were just nervous because it was a “big scary cat” and you didn’t know a whole lot about that specific type of cat’s behavior.

nah sometimes they are right too they are not wrong everytime . I doubt that. Predators would often attack prey animals even inside cages. I've seen a lion tried to attack a person inside a car with an open window. The real reason is predators will often think twice attacking when a supposed prey stands its ground and not show any fear. Huge elephants would often show aggression but would stop if the man doesn't move facing it. African bushmen often steal lion kills just by scaring them.
