One of the problems with modern medicine is that there are no shared risks. The full cost of time, suffering, and money is on the patient. The amount owed is the same regardless of whether the procedure or plan is 0% effective, 10%, 30% or 100%. The fact that there are no substitutes for many surgeries and medicines is another problem related to prices but I'm not sure what can be done about that except maybe incentivizing increases in health with patients.

It's true what Dr Wangen is saying. Low FODMAP is a bit of a waste. I have switched to the Carnivore diet, and having way better results.
