In this Video we'll be covering the Story of Lucas Baker, the Bad Seed of the Baker family from Resident Evil 7. The Madman who would torment our protagonist Ethan Winters, as we delve into his crazy inventions while navigating through the baker residence. We also explain his life prior to being infected with the new Mold Strain, the infection created by the mysterious organization called The Connections, which they created a bio weapon using the Mutamycete called the E-Type Series also known as Eveline. Here Lucas would be infected with the Mold Strain and gain certain abilities. We also cover his life after the main storyline in RE7 and how Chris Redfield came to save Ethan and Mia Winters from Eveline and would now have to deal with Lucas for the final time.

Lucas always came off as someone who liked Saw way too much, but I did like that he was some of the few RE villains to embrace what he was infected with. Him pointing out Eveline's family obsession I believe has something to do with her unknowingly rubbing off of Miranda.

Lucas was the only Baker that was genuinely evil. Jack and Marguerite may have been flawed, but they were good people. The mold was the driving force behind the bad things they did. Lucas didn't have this excuse. The Connections broke Eveline's mind control. He did the things he did while in his "right mind". He actively chose it.

Honestly, I feel like the Baker family was in for a tragic end with or without infection. The only question was whether it was at Evelyn’s hands or their son’s. I mean, Lucas has showed no signs of feeling any love towards his family, and was definitely mentally unstable considering he’s already killed someone because he believed they wronged him (his childhood bully.) whose to say that his attention wouldn’t have eventually turned towards his family, whom he already had a heavily detailed ‘fuck you’ list dedicated to?

Jack was guilty of drinking a little too much, a common problem for many Margeurite was guilty of maybe not making the best meals for her family, a realistic flaw Zoey did nothing at most, Lucas' family was guilty of being an average family with their own typical family problems Lucas was guilty of being a complete psychopath, with or without the mold. And at the end of the day, Lucas' parents and sister tried to do a good deed and got punished for it in the most horrific way. Lucas, in his own mind, was rewarded for his family's tragedy. He got what he wanted.

I always felt that Lucas was the most terrifying villain in RE because he felt more realistic than other monsters like Birkin and Mr X ( my absolute favourites). I like the character of Lucas. The clear psychopathy in his actions and his dark nature that is present both before and after the infection is the truly scary part. The obvious and prominent evil that was Lucas made him the scariest for the sheer fact that he wasn't twisted by a horrid childhood or trauma or possessed by an evil entity rather he was loudly and unapologetically evil and proud of not only his high intelligence but his relentless brutality. Monsters aren't the ones that are scary. It's the humans that are.

I feel like part of the reason on how (Lucas) he was able to resist Eveline cause he was already kinda a terrible person, meanwhile his parents before being infected were v kind and caring people and therefore they were alot more weaker compared to Lucas, unsure bout Zoe tho, then again she wasn't directly infected and saw what happened to her parents which probably strengthen her resistance plus she avoided touching it overall as much as possible

Good point. Maybe it’s because Lucas was always paranoid and uncaring, while the others were able to conceive of Eveline being an innocent child needing help and were therefore more open to her influence (less for Zoe, who found her creepy from day 1). If someone has zero potential to regard a stranger as deserving of safety and empathy, that might give them more resistance to her powers, even if they aren’t Lucas levels of awful.

Out of all the members of the Baker family, Lucas Baker was the most sick and twisted of them all, he was not the main enemy of the original campaign of Resident Evil 7, you still had encounter him a few times and deal with whatever sick games he had waiting for you, out of every thing Ethan had to deal with Lucas was not able to kill Ethan, he able to get out of the Baker house with the help of Chris Redfield, after Ethan and Mia were rescued by Chris and Blue Umbrella, he had to go after Lucas Baker to find 3 of his missing men, destroy his research, bring him in for his crimes, and to make sure the "Connections" doesn't get his research, Chris did manage to find all 3 of his missing men, but Lucas did manage to kill each one in front of Chris, now Chris was going to make Lucas pay for what he's done, Chris did manage to corner Lucas in a underground lab in a mine shaft, he told Lucas to surrender and give up it's over, but Lucas started to mutate in a mold abomination and Chris had to fight him, it was a tough fight but Chris won in the end and truly killed Lucas, he destroyed all of the tech to make sure the "Connections" didn't get his research, Chris went back to the Baker house to look at the family picture and the Not A Hero campaign ends there, Lucas Baker was one of the best villains of the Resident Evil series, he showed us what a real psychopath is capable of and how scary that can really be, thank you for covering Lucas Baker very well Hey DeVuH, you did a great job buddy ✌️

I've always felt some kind of bitterness to how the 'Not a Hero' DLC played out. The dude was crazy but he was also just absolutely brilliant for creating his own unique mold strain, all by himself! I felt like Lucas had the potential to be an AMAZING long-term villain because of that. It just sucks that they had Chris go all 'macho man' on him and just blow his head off even when he was incapacitated. It felt like such a cop-out on how kill off such a funny, scary villain.

I think he was one of the BEST villains in the game, because if he wasn't actually under Evelyn's control while we were controlling Ethan, he was just playing those games because he could. There was no "She told me to" or "It's not me" like there was with Jack and Marguerite. It was just.... Him. He never felt remorse for anything, there was never really any justification or reason for any of it, just the sadistic joy of torturing his victims. I do feel bad looking back on Jack telling Ethan to save his family. "I'm no killer, neither is Marguerite, my boy Lucas, or even Zoe here". He never knew everything his son did was just on his own accord. While the premise of the rest of the Baker family having the "I'm not in control of me" as an excuse for their actions, having a cold, calculated monster like Lucas as a villain makes a fantastic story. He never cared. His actions bare no consequence on his conscience, he is just evil

I really wish we didn't killed him in Chris's DLC Not a Hero, it would've been awesome had he been in village especially because he has information on the connections. @@HeYDeVuH could it be the bssa? We had umbrella which is gone and the workers wanting to make amends are blue umbrella which is who Chris is helping this game. And the contentions was turned into tricell which assets was transformed to Alex Wesker but after her death I don't know what happened to tricell. We don't have much more named companies by this point. The FBC was transferred into the bsaa and we have terrasave which re8 it seems bsaa would be the most likely known option and maybe why they wanted Chris to be sent too look over and to try and either get rid of him or make sure the information is transferred. But chris lived and destroyed the data before it transformed which would have made him not a hero in bsaa plans if this is true.

Oooh, yeah I think RE games prior to 7 weren't all that scary to me for the most part, but this one really had me super uncomfortable. I'm really not fond of most gore, even more so torture. I had to actually look away from the video a couple of times cuz Lucas is really... hm... out there LOL. I remember watching Markiplier play RE7 and I really could not sit for some of the scenes else I get really sick XP I think that probably says a lot. This is a great video as always though! I'm really fond of your analysis videos~! .w./

See this is why a jigsaw style villain, with a pursuer BOW like Mr. X acting as Minotaur in a labyrinth of zombies and other bows. People would be drugged and dropped into this labyrinth to record test data from the creatures inside, the jigsaw villain overseeing it all. There would be weapons and equipment spread throughout the labyrinth to give the subjects a fighting chance against the bow’s, even providing means to eventually kill the Minotaur, but only slow it down with other means till that method is deployed.

He was still infected but he was just released from the mind control that Eveline had with a serum that the connections gave him. Though it was never specified on what that serum was, which actually is very important because it could have saved many lives that were infected with the mold

I think Lucas being conscious is so creepy because it just gave him unbridled time to do things he genuinely wanted to do. So when Zoe wanted to go back to normal, Lucas was never normal do he wouldn't be able yo adjust and he didn't want that.
