Malcolm broke the 1st law of power: Never outshine the master. Elijah Muhammad didn't have the oratorical skill that Malcolm and he certainly didn't have his charisma. Malcolm had a magnetic energy that drew people to him. You couldn't help but the love the guy. And I think that stirred up a lot of insecurity within Elijah and other top level leaders within the NOI.

We all know what the protocals are in the nation when it came to public addresses. This didn't change when bro Malcolm went in his own direction. With that said, when the security check was called off the security of the principle is heightened. Now when you have been given the post to secure the principal how do you not protect him with your very life. As the shooter shot why wasn't there any of the Bros on security shot while protecting our bro. That's my point. Thank you ReelBlack for yet again stellar content. It is very true that the strong intellectual black male who is an independent thinker that challenges the systems of oppression on all levels in this country and for that matter globally; will always be a threat to the establishment and administration. I am experiencing this very thing currently in my job where I am under the microscope for standing up not only for myself but also for the population we serve. Buracacy is designed to slow and block progress where progress is desperately needed; it is also designed as a veil and a cover for thoes who want to keep progress from taking root to make positive change happen. Its the good ole' boy system hiding in the form of "policy." Thank you again RB for your scholarly efforts.

If I may say so, good for you. There was a job opening, at the hospital Medical Equipment Engineering Dept, and the Supervisor passed around a Resume, he claimed to have gotten that I'm sure was not authentic but a type of strawman move to create a racist joke,I suppose he thought would gain him something positive. It was when read out loud it was to sound like an uneducated black person who was not very smart[his take on all black people in his mind I'm sure,I often locked horns with his crap.] Fact is he was one of the most ignorant white men I knew, ever, and he particularly would pronounce the word ask as 'ax' [I dunno, but a black female friend lambasted all young black men in her youtube video with not trying to pronounce the word correctly as 'ask' and her appeal was scathing,but I mentioned to her quietly and alone, and to him that black people were kidnapped and they lost their families, their traditions which included language culture and so on, and maybe it was due to their native language,I know some French meanings where a slight nuance sound on the word that may look the same, but a sound made in the pronunciation completely changed its meaning, and languages are like that, some more than others, but that hadn't occurred to either her or him, she understood and softened her criticism while he made his delivery worse. Ok, sorry, main point,stand your ground be the strong black man you are, if you are. I'm white and my friend and mentor, the smartest most caring person I know, He made me who I am He told me to Please stay withy us, we need your voice, for a better world for us all, black people and such as you an excluded white kid from a dysfunctional white family gave much in common and working together using love compassion peace is worth continuing to be a model for others to learn from. He saw in me, what I hadn't, and saved me in the process, my very life, and my sense of brotherly love and you must stay strong be who you are. Such a loss Malcolm X, Fred Hampton and Rev King all murdered before they reached 40, life is just so unfair. They didn't compromise.Thanks, Mark

The fact that Louis Farrakhan had to buy Temple number 2 from W D Muhammed should tell us who the Business and the leadership of the NOI was passed on to. I lived in NY and was an active FOI member in Temple number 7. Minister Louis Farrakhan was not sanction by Elijah Muhammed to lead the NOI after the passing of Elijah Muhammed. Malcolm X's legacy is complex and multifaceted. His autobiography, written with Alex Haley, remains a powerful and widely read account of his life and beliefs.

*_@TheHumbleHealer_* True! At least some, anyway!! But, I just re-read *_"The Autobiography of Malcolm X"_* for the first time in over thirty years (actually it was the Audiobook version this time) and the more I read that Book or listen to any of Malcolm X's Speeches and Interviews, the more I realize what a backstabbing, *_100% Pure Criminal_* Malcolm X truly was!! In the newest version of the Book, they actually call Marcus *_"Mosiah"_* Garvey, Marcus *_"Aurelius"_* Garvey!! Even Laurence John Fishburne III read his name wrong!! But, that is perfectly understandable, because all "Larry" wants is to sound Shakespearean and get that check!! For the Book to start off like that was a *_bad_* enough omen, but then I realized they had taken out some of what I remembered from that earlier version!! In short, African Americans deserve Criminals like Malcolm X and fake wanna be Moses' like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who were both *_"plants",_* sent and trained by White🗑Supremacist Organizations as our leaders, because we as a people have proven from the Cotton Fields, to the Civil Rights Movement, that we will *_NEVER_* fight for any Freedoms, because we are like domesticated animals who are completely contented to be fed and pet on our heads by our owners!!!

Why do Wallace Deen get a pass!!i always said that Elijah Mohammed children was jealous of Malcolm and their father's relationship
@curtisjones4005 жыл бұрын
Paula hampton-Wallace Deen gets a pass because he never went along with his father and the teachings of the NOI. Wallace Deen always wanted Elijah Muhammad to teach Islam the way it was taught in the middle-east. Wallace Deen did not believe that Master Fard Muhammad was God and believed that his father was tricked. Wallace Deen was the one who told Malcom X that all the bad things said about Elijah Muhammad were true. Wallace Deen had more to gain by Malcoim X being alive then dead. Wallace Deen wanted to see his father exposed as a false prophet so that Wallace Dean could then teach Islam they way he wanted to teach it. When Elijah Muhammad died in 1975, Wallace Deen became the leader and he stopped calling the white man a devil and begin to teach Islam they way it was taught in the middle east and not the way Elijah Muhammad and the NOI had been teaching it.
@curtisjones4005 жыл бұрын
@Rasul Daniels I like the original FOI teachings and i wished that Wallace had stayed with the original teachings. The problem is that Wallace never believed that Master Fard Muhammad was God. Wallace felt that his father was tricked. I agree that the original FOI teachings dids help the black community . Wallace felt that the Nation of Islam was fake and he told his father that he disagreed with it's teachings. Wallace did what his heart told him to do. He felt that he could not have a clear conscious unless he rejected the teachings of his father.
