Fans need to get past the clubs propaganda of blaming players wages on why we are skint! 2013 50% of the clubs income was spent on players wages, 2023 it was around 35% of the players wages and that is a very high estimate. It's the same with Fergie and his £2 million a year and fans act like hes robbing the club! When Fergie came in the club was worth around £10 million pounds, when he left it was worth over £2 billion and in todays market its worth £5-£6 billion, the club HE built not the glazers! Stop crying about players wages the reason the club is skint is because of the GLazers and paying their debt off!

Davies, as a wing back, would literally be our highest level player. If we got him, no other player we have is as good as Davies would be as a wing back, in their position. Davies, as a wing back, is a higher level than rashford at LW, Bruno at CAM, whoever! He would probably be our only world class player tbh! He'd definitely be worth them kind of wages!!!

I would take him and pay the money, but I would make sure his contract is fair for the club, so have performance pay and also clauses to release him from his contract early if it's not working. If you want the very highest pay then you need to also take the responsibility of performing at the highest level week in week out.

Alphonso Davies's injury record was at its worst between Autumn 2021 and Summer 2023. 9 separate injuries, the most serious being a heart issue. Since the Autumn of 2023, he's been almost injury free. He had an internal ligament strain that kept him out for 3 weeks (4 Bayern games) and that's it. His mileage, game time wise, is significant but not burn out levels like Neymar at 24. He's on 309 appearances across games for club and country. He's never played more than 43 games for Bayern during the season, presumably because they only play 34 in the Bundesliga, and the remainder will be Champions League games and German Cup matches.

£50-55 million all in for a player in his prime, who possesses obvious quality, to fill a crucial position that we are desperately lacking in is a no-brainer given our new manager's style and its dependence on WBs. Let’s also remember that Davies is Canada’s starboy. Him in a United shirt is $$$ for the club via image rights. It’s only fair his compensation reflects this.

Davies is a great attacking wing back but I would put him in the trent style of defending though. I whould offer him 15-20m sign on but wages of 200k pw its a fraction of what he would cost if in contract. But if we get him on the left all jokes aside we have to get frimpong for the right because of pace otherwise we will just attack down the left as it is the faster option to get in behind.

We need to sell Maguire, Victor, Shaw, Antony and anyone else to make some money. We won't be buying any strikers in January I don't think. I believe we will sign the real striker in the summer. As for Davies, if we can get Shaw Maguire, Victor, Ericksen, Antony out we can pay the wages for Davies. I thought we stopped doing that.

Love the channel, I respectfully disagree. Throwing money at players hasn't worked till now. He needs to prove himself at united with performance and passion of the club for that wages. I suggest 20%-30% increase on his current deal with a clause of bigger increase in 2 years if the performance and passion is there.
