One of my all-time favorite films. I’ve watched it countless times - along with the other trilogy films! And don’t forget Once upon a Time in the West…

I am an old retired guy. I grew up at a time when westerns were constantly on television but I have never been a fan of the genre. The films in the Dollar Trilogy and “The Magnificent Seven” are the only westerns I own. I have watched the Dollar Trilogy many times. “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” is by far my favorite in the trilogy but they are all worth watching even for those who don’t normally enjoy the genre.

It's true that 'Yojimbo' was essentially re-imagined for this production in a western setting, but that picture was itself a re-telling of Dashiel Hammet's story 'Red Harvest' (which was much later more faithfully filmed as 'Last Man Standing' with Bruce Willis), so Hammett is really the only party with any ax to grind here...

i remember watching this in the theater when i was a teenager. i later went to see 'a few dollars more'. i didn't like the second one that much, so when 'good bad and the ugly' came out, i never went to see it. stupid me. 'good bad and the ugly' is now my #1 western of all time. . . . somebody must have increased sergio leone's budget because 'once upon a time in the west' featured henry fonda AND charles bronson, not to mention jason robards, who probably got paid more than the other two combined.

Night People is an excellent movie (if one overlooks an obvious logic flaw in it).
