I have to say it, Coach Prime doesn’t care about critiques for the sport, but when you’re making personal attacks, it’s a problem. He got face to face with Coach Prime and couldn’t address his problem with him. Which means it’s not about football, he just can’t stand the fact this black man has the confidence, will stand up for himself and the program. He is an absolute legend in sports entertainment and will be remembered for his leadership, dedication and contribution not only to the sports he played, but also in building up those young men.

Criticism, whether justified or not, is an inherent part of coaching. That's why I believe coaching isn't for everyone, especially those who cannot tolerate criticism. The issue becomes even more significant when universities take steps to effectively ban any participant from the process, as this has broader implications, particularly in an era where free speech is increasingly constrained. Banning the media echoes the actions of the National Socialist German Workers' Party in the 1940s, which sought to control public opinion by shutting down or taking over anti-Nazi newspapers, dictating news content, banning and burning books deemed un-German, and controlling what soldiers could write home during World War II. I draw this comparison because, as an amateur historian with experience working in a federal law enforcement agency, I recognize the dangers of such actions. My stance is clear: anyone dealing with the media must have thick skin. The media often behaves in ways we don't appreciate, but it's part of the job. I recall my time as a Public Information Officer for the Department of the Interior during wildfires and the challenges I faced with the media. Despite the difficulties, I persevered because it was my responsibility, and through experience and a commitment to excellence, I overcame the challenges.

As much as I understand the perspective of Matt Barnes and Deion Sanders, all this will do is increase the criticism of Deion fails. You know he’s not going away , so it’ll be interesting to see what happens

Barnes!!! The dude that drove cross country!!! To jump fences he no longer owned the property to!!! Also he on camera spit on somebody. That individual?? So he on record doing things. Not of true MAN. Lives have been lost. Because of the exact actions he did that are on record. Males half his age. Tried his emotional approach. Their lives and or freedom is over!!! That's the only point. To be pointed out!!. Coward if you won't!! Specifically point out. First! Youth, should not look too him. How to resolve issues.

The way things go brother Wiley, is that time will bring everything front and center at some point, regardless of how long those that call themselves having Deion's back, excusing and even co-signing most everything he does, etc.... Deion later said not to make decisions when emotional, pray, etc... Maybe he'll act upon his own advice the next time he perceives extremely adverse circumstances. Maybe through prayer he'll be led to face head on what is at the root of why some of these negative character reviews or personal attacks if you will, are articulated. It is going to keep happening, and worse yet, may end up being clearly seen by the world in a very humbling manner. Sometimes the Lord allows that licking stick to be applied when we don't respond to the preceding whispers in the ear, and ensuing conversations. It is pretty obvious that the reporter is being a shock jock, and Deion has to know that he provides a great platform. Use these opportunities to be great Deion. When intentionally or unintentionally dealing with a jackass, come with some humility, while at the same time, honestly reflecting on your situation. I believe that is what the Lord would have you to do. As a Believer myself, however; I do know that type of thing has to be "you", in order for you to react and to respond by "walking the walk" in that way. Peace

Finebaum should probably be covering golf. If you could characterize a football great as a 'bully' you definitely don't belong in that world.

Deion brings a lot of attention on himself and the spotlight with his attitude , he’d hate if the reporters and cameras stopped covering him and his program!! You can’t come out after winning 4 games asking reporters do you believe then get an attitude when they call you a false prophet

I love Deion Sanders the player but the coach has some humble pie to get through. Most coaches don't film him breaking young men's hearts and telling them they don't deserve a scholarship they had previously earned. Most coaches would try to actually coach these guys up. He went 4-8. If Deion wasn't Deion, would he even have this kind of power. I hope the team does better so it can match Deions behavior

Hang on, Finebaum and others have said this happens all the time. Teams don’t like what a certain reporter has written so they never call on them to ask questions. The difference here is CU and Prime were open about it. So it’s disingenuous for media to complain about restricted access when they themselves say this happens all the time just not openly.
