I started my entrepreneurial journey by founding a food and grocery delivery startup in a tier-3 city. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, as it has given me firsthand exposure to managing operations and understanding customer needs in a unique market. However, I’ve realized that scaling this idea to a larger, tier-1 city or even beyond requires more than just on-the-ground experience. Will cover this in a separate video. The best way is to speak the truth. You can talk about a couple of calls that you would have received and are in the consideration list (for example, you need not say that you have a call from MICA in an IIM Ahmedabad interview; if you have Bangalore and Calcutta then yes you should tell them). If they are sane, they will appreciate that you have received calls from other colleges and focus on your candidature. If they are going to hold something as petty against you, the college simply doesn’t deserve you and you are better off not being a part of an institute that encourages this.

Sir please reply Should I join TAPMI/GIM leaving a job which is paying me 4.5LPA?(I have 24 months work ex as of January 2025 and I am a Non engineer with 8/7/7 Academics).

With your profile, the better options I can think of are the 2nd gen IIMs, FMS, MDI, IIFT, and some IITs through the CAT and XLRI, SIBM, NMIMS through the other tests. If you think you have obvious gaps in your test prep that can take you above the 95 percentile mark, I would suggest another attempt. If you can’t think of anything then take the best option you can convert. Irrespective of your final decision, I would suggest you prepare and appear for all the interviews and nail them.

Sir, i didn't even look at the response sheet of xat , because of the ambiguity exist in dm and va. Should i wait for the official xat key or look for the response sheet available right now

If you are getting bothered by it and check it and get it out of your system. No need to take it seriously though. I have a strong feeling that the official keys will be a bit different to their’s so unless it’s a clear case of you doing really well or really poorly, there’s no certainty about anything.

Dig deeper. If you have organized something in your society or even participated in some drive that’s good enough as well. Figure out the instance and you can always glorify it a bit. If you haven’t had any hands on experience doing any of these, focus on the theoretical knowledge you would have gathered over the past few months and build a story around that.

Hello Sir, I've been following you since I started my CAT prep with IMS and now at Point 99, I just want to let you know that you've played a very big role through my preparation journey and i couldn't have asked for a better mentor. I had a question i wanted to ask but before that i wanted to give you a little context. I am a non-engineer and i gave cat in 2023 and scored a 97.63 %ile, this year i couldn't give cat due to some reason, I've graduated last year. my profile is 74% in 10th, 91% in 12th and 77% in graduation. i was thinking about appearing for cat 2025 alongside my job but i had a serious doubt that has been nudging me, i wanted to know what would be a safe percentile to get calls from the IIM A/B/C/L. and i also wanted to know that is it even possible to get a call from these b-schools at all with such poor profile. i really want to pursue my dream of doing an mba from the aforementioned institutes, would you be able to give me a number 99._ _%ile that i should chase in these upcoming 11 months?

Sorry Jahnvi, but I have a limited understanding of the GMAT at the moment. So can’t help you with the test related guidance. Regarding the sectional cutoff query, from what I know, there isn’t any specific cutoff as such. If your score is super lopsided then it could be a reason in rare cases. For ISB, a score of around 675 should be decent with a good profile. If your profile isn’t exemplary then you should be targeting a score of around 700.
