I love mcfarlane figures but they gotta fix their QC issues and add more accessories lol. I don’t want 3 batmans with three different heads. :/ I love these figures and I have mcfarlane figures lol. I like legends too but they haven’t really changed much. They barely have toe articulation.

No matter what all companies will have QC issues also the fact it's made in china Todd doesn't know what's going on at the factory and can't realize the issue until people finally recieve it in box than they open it and either has missing parts, broken parts or the joints are very loose and fall off. But overeall love this line and Todd just keeps moving forward. 💯 Also marvel legends constant reuse when Todd actual spends the money for new sculpts and still stays at the 20 dollar price point. I do agree with the 2 or 3 same figures but with different heads but I like my figures masked anyway not too big of a problem for me.

Hasbro be like “here is this body and we’re gonna use it for like 20 Spider-Man, 10 black panthers, 8 human torch figures, uuuh shung chi, uhhhh captain America and uh comic falcon. Whereas mcfarlane is like “okay so we’ll use it for like 4 superman and switch it up and change the sculpt A little bit. Even the reused figs have some new details. Hasbro doesn’t do that.

People hate Todd personally because he's the face of the company. They can't hate an anonymous boardroom of investors at every other toy company. When Todd comes out and takes a personal shot at other companies, he does it with pride and people want to wipe the smirk off his face. But they can't. I'm a big Mafex fan myself, but I'll say they're the most brittle figures on the planet. Treat them like newborn infants. The wave of hate I think is because Hasbro is collapsing, its fans are freaking out and lashing out. Trying hopelessly to defend an insane price increase, idiotic packaging change and a manufacturing shortage no other company seems to be having. Its not Mcfarlane/Neca/Mattel's fault. People are angry that the Mcfarlane line at less than 3 years old doesn't have the entire DC Universe represented when compared to the 20 years of ML. The fact the new waves of ML are adopting Mcfarlane articulation points is just the icing on the cake. This is how Rome fell.

Hater will be haters. I've been a mcfarlane toys fan ever since the company was called Todd Toys. I still have some of the old Spawn figures and the other lines he made. The only thing that i can say say that i don't like is that he is lacking on paint apps but there is a reason for that which is to keep the cost of their figures at a affordable price for the average collector. I hope that Mcfarlane toys will continue to keep the license and i pray he will get the opportunity to get licenses to make other toy lines... Todd Mcfarlane always said he wanted to make STAR WARS and MARVEL figures but haven't gotten those licenses. I think the ML fans are butt hurt because Hasbro is "saving costs" by cutting plastic in their packaging while, at the same time, also raising their prices by8-10 bucks for a standard figure. Also, they're mad because McFarlane won those awards for most toys sold at retail. They fail to understand that, it's not a popularity contest. The results were based off of actual sales at the counter. And the reality is that Hasbro sucks at distribution. Look at GI Joe, Black Series and Marvel Legends. Think about how many figures they released and how many of those figures did you ACCTUALLY see in the toy isle? You can't sell a toy that's not there, and parents probably went to the toy isle looking for a Spider-Man and didn't find anything but a bunch of Batmans and picked up a Batman instead because there were no Marvel Legends available. And it "sucks" to them they they're paying more for the toys and McFarlane is keeping his costs down so they have to "Rag" on him to make themselves feel better about their collecting wants and preferences. Just my opinion.

I have the exact opposite approach. I much prefer quality over quantity any day. I'd rather have one shelf of really nice higher end collectibles than wall to wall of mediocre to outright bad junk. That's why I only collect Mafex and Hot Toys exclusively now. But hey like you said collect what you like.

Agreed...it's all personal preference.... I'm not into dolls so a lot of high end figures are overpriced junk to me... Plus ever since I started collecting I'm more of a retail off the shelf collector .. that's just what I collect... Plus I enjoy the character selection of a retail line...where is your Impulse...your Superwoman...your Grim Knight....you will probably never get the range of characters... The only issue is that a lot of the haters of the McFarlane DC Multiverse line can't simply "not buy". Many of them are actual DC fans so its not as easy for them to turn it off as it is with you to turn off Marvel lines since you don't seem to care about them in the first place.

What we got before just doesn’t compare to what we get now and for the price, it’s extremely reasonable. The only thing people should be complaining about is the lack of extra hands, the display stands (just get rid of those) and some proportion choices. Outside of that, they’re killing it.

That whole Platinum Edition sucks when Mcfarlane makes the more classic or common version the chase. Reuse is ok, but lazy reuse sucks. I love DC and I like the Mcfarlane Toys Multiverse line, but to just give it a blanket pass is something I can't do. It's ok to be critical. We should be critical if we're spending our hard earned.

I mostly collect Marvel Legends and I don't understand the undeserved hate that Hasbro fans give McFarlane. With the recent price hikes from Hasbro, it's clear that McFarlane is offering better value for their figures. The people complaining about too much Batman just want to find something to complain about. I have 4 standard Batmans from McFarlane and I'll gladly get more just as I'll love more regular Spider-mans and Wolverines from Hasbro. Though most of my collection is Marvel, I'm now getting about 2 McFarlane figures for every new ML figure. With this competition between these brands, the figures from both lines are improving and we win in the end as fans so there's no need to bash either company. Also, the people complaining about the serial killer joke that Todd made are blowing it way out of proportion and are twisting his words nearly to the degree of slander. They likely didn't watch the interview.

At first I didn’t know what to think of this video, but after many minutes of looking back, rewinding, and a hint of sole searching, I think I finally understand…. People just get keep forgetting toy companies aren’t perfect. Many people like these collectibles (not me personally) but good for them. And if you don’t like these offerings, my friends there are so many other Superman’s, Batman’s, Wonder Woman figures out their all in different sizes and styles. Hey im a long time collector specifically researching the topic of the mcfarlane/(honestly toys in general) problem going on right now. I have seen alot of the anti- mcfarlance reviewers/people making all these claims, They all say "like what you like/this is for entertainment/buy what you wanna buy." Also, "if you dont want it dont buy it," really doesnt make sense for toy reviewers. They buy toys for their jobs. So it doesnt make sense to tell a youtuber to not buy a toy if they dont like it. If your a toy youtuber, you would buy it, so you can review it. Negative or positve irregardless. if anything there is an insentive to people who dont like certain toys to buy it so they can review and stop more people from buying w hat they think is a crap product. That is the point. Just trying to correct some misinformation and inform. This is a very silly argument and I hope I showed you why. As long as people dont send specific harrasement towards you or fellow cxreators, they are allowed to give their negative opinions, just like yours. In this case their arguments are way more sophisticated than yours except for the pricepoint argument. Alot of them hate on hasbro as well. Or atleast the ones with valid arguments (which are the people u should be focused on). Being tired of batman isnt hate. Its an extreeeemely valid criticsm of the line. I have no problem with people voicing their opinions...that as you said helps the line and gages what everyone wants to see in the line...what I don't like is when people go out of their way to be nasty or just hateful when sometimes it's obvious it has nothing to do with the figures ... If things where really that bad..no one would buy and the license would never be extended..but obviously sales are good so more years from this line are in coming.. I stand my figures no prob..not all but most of them...so I don't think it's the figures...it's actually those who are trying to stand them .. Proportions are sometimes straight out of the pages of my the comics ..that's how they are drawn.... But have you seen some of the newer figures...they are very proportional...head sculpts are hit or miss like most companies...I love side eye... straight eyes have a zombie lifeless feel that I just don't like any more..but that's all a personal preference...you don't have to like it but I do ..we are all different Collectors and that's fine .. variety ha ha ha ..Mafex makes like 3 figures a year and they are all Batman....if you like 5" dolls go right ahead... What sux is a lot of people don't take the time to see other sides or even look at the figures before making their mind on just trashing them... I Collect both but because how difficult ML is to find and the outrages prices to popular characters and the reuse of body molds. ML kind of fell off to me and I find my self more excited for DC characters. Even though I am more of a marvel fan but the toy line as been disappointing to me. I’ve always been a Batman fan and other main dc characters. Because of the consistency I got back more into dc comics. Mainly just Batman though.

Hard to watch this, edits with examples, bullet points would make your story better man. Ontopic, I might rewatch but what kills McFarlane DC figures for me is the scale, why the flip a head taller than most action figures? I have yet to find a good argument for this. + McFarlane never finishes a line, it's all random "cool" characters most of the time. And I'm not onboard with the rubbery stuff. I wouldn't mind all of this if other producers also head the DC rights for 5/6/7 inch action figures. But they have it and nobody else can make figures in that scale from what I understand.

Solid points dude. I am going to be honest, I never got the appeal of Marvel Legends, it's a line that ranges from mediocre to outright terrible. And I am not a huge fan of 6 inch scale, the proportions tend to look weird. McFarlane was a natural fit for me, I collect mostly 7inch figures. The whole reuse of a body is also a non-issue for me because I always prefer one version. Why would I spend more money on an inferior unmasked version when I have the masked version of the Thomas Wayne Batman? But yeah, even though I support his Multiverse and Spawn lines, two criticisms do seem valid to me: the grey versions (only because sometimes you can't choose which figure you get when you buy online) and two, sometimes the hands or the heads are either too big or too small, that has stopped me from buying a figure at least once. But you know what I admire from him? He is ready to receive feedback, and he has addressed and sometimes corrected serious issues, such as the side eye, the lack of guns or the horrible ankle and wrist balls. Hasbro is a money-grubbing soulless company taking advantage of their dumb fans and they have never addressed any issue in the same scale. Heck, Legends have actually gotten worse instead of improving. On the other hand the more recent McFarlane stuff looks close to perfection. For instance, I recently bought the Dark Detective and I was just amazed at how good it was.

But people in general complain a lot about that kind of reuse and it does bother me because, like you said, the tooling costs a lot, he has the right to do so, but Mcfarlane is not forcing them to buy another figure.

I've seen more toys from DC Multiverse compared to Marvel Legends nowadays when I visit toy stores. That's how popular the line has been. Now for the reasons why people don't like McFarlane's toys: 1) It's not 6 inches - This makes me laugh that people want to scale DC Multiverse with their ML toys. It's not going to change with all of their whining. You might as well complain that HotToys' figure scale is too big. 2) The articulation sucks - I get it, you either tolerate it or not. 3) It's just a Batman line - Batman is the most popular DC character whether you like it or not, of course the DC execs will rather exploit this. More Batman figs for me. 4) Not much female figures - Sadly, female figs don't sell as much as the male ones. So to those people who say that Todd's s3x!st for this, I say "LOL at these fumbducks." 5) DC's anti-gun policy on action figures - It sucks but I just buy 3D-printed guns for these figs to compensate for it. 6) "Lame" chase figures - Todd introduced chase/repainted figures that even ML copied it. Serious toy fans should already know this. 7) The Figuarts/MAFEX version is better - Duh, it should be. Why do people debate about this? The price point of DC Multiverse is what makes it more appealing to a lot of people who don't want to spend too much on toys. In the end, I'll collect what I want and the whiners will continue to whine for something they don't buy in the first place.

Pretty dead on, gotta disagree about the articulation though. The only thing ML has over Mcfarlane is thigh swivel & extreme hip freedom, both of which are severely overstated imo. Todd always had superior wrists, waists (the fact ML still uses cut waists blows my mind), mid-torsos and 360 butterflies. In fact the newest Spidey reveals show Todd-style torsos and toes for the first time in ML history. The Todd makes statues thing is a parody at this point, right up there with the Batman jokes imo. What gets me about the Mafex are better arguments too is like....yeahhhh and they have the best Marvel figs too, what's the argument exactly?

money/quality wise Mcfarlane is amazing. I've had so many figures go to snap-city from Mattel or Hasbro that felt like straight theft. 200+ Mcfarlane figures and only TWO had something break on them(leg and a thumb). Got the entire Halo line,allot from Warhammer, DC,... Very eyecatching even for the non toy collector. Too many batmans? What about the shitload of repainted iron man figures from ML...? Reuse of a mold? Enjoy your filled shelves filled with 200 bucky cap molds...lol! For some reason people tend to demand unique statue sculpts with spiderman articulation for 15$ and expect the quality to be the best in existence. Bunch of spoiled and ignorant manbaby's XD The only reason i'm sometimes dissapointed is that parts can barely be interchanged to create custom figures. Wich only shows how little they reuse molds and create new ones.

Love your mask. Gives you a mysterious edge. The only QC issue I had was with a recent release and I returned it. I got a replacement with GameStop for free. I love the price of these figures. My only gripe is the head articulation with some figures and how they can’t look up. However I found a solution to fix it myself making it a custom fix. Batman is the bread and butter. I don’t think they complain with too many Spider-Man’s. All these boys complaining about 6 inches meanwhile they ain’t even past 6 inches 🤣
