Ask anyone in US how many feet there are in a mile, they will struggle. Anyone can remember that a finger is roughly a centimeter and a half in width. The principle works. The implementation just doesn't.

Yeah, its such a failure that we crumbled to dust instead of building a world superpower in 1/10 the time that it took most European countries to accomplish exactly nothing😂😂😂

@@AtlasReburdened You are using metric for most of Military and Science purposes. Besides, I prefer Poland which accomplished exactly nothing to US since we never had a mass-shooting. We can argue over this for days but fact of the matter is that imperial is just a bad habit, like smoking. It doesn't mean you are useless but you could do without it.

Why would anyone need to know how many feet are in a mile? You measure either in miles or in feet, not simultaneously. Also, how can you remember that the width of a finger is 1.5 cm if you already have a way more practical measure of inch by using a thumb, which is way easier in applying? The implementation works well enough, while the principle of standardised units is just impractical

Only worked in primitive times, and even then there were problems with not all people having the same exact dimensions. Calculating in metric is mostly just moving the comma. When calculating in human body measurements you need a calculator and you'll be hard pressed to find someone that can do it without errors.
