@@trymeonforsize9343 I used to kinda like them for there voices and little skits. I never realised how much people love to hate them. They're a little charming. It's stupid to hate them because your mom makes memes on them on Facebook. Like you care about Facebook? Now that megamind back in the internet renaissance, I now see so many people make it their b opportunity to hate on despicable because they came out close to each other because the franchise is big. @@Eletric7 Yeah, sound conduction through bone lets us hear the bassier frequencies in our voice better than other people can, but recordings also sound worse than you do in real life because cheap microphones you often record your voice on have trouble recording lower frequencies, making your voice seem tinnier and more childlike than it actually is. Something I just noticed: Megamind and Metroman are completely colors. (In other words, their main colors are opposing on the color wheel). Yellow is complementary to blue, and black to white. I just thought that was an interesting and often cool things to include in movies! Because the only other superhero example I can think of with completely colors are Thor and Loki. (Red/Green and Silver/Gold).

1. Your voice is fantastic. I could fall asleep to this. 2. Holy shit there are something I hadn't noticed after watching this movie five times. That dent. Just wow. I have only been able to find one 'mistake' in the entire movie and its during the climax. Disguised Minion has green eyes (He should have brown). This is likely done to not give away the twist but it is an odd bit of continuity. The only reason this is even worth noting though is because the movie is so filled with neat details that didn't necessarily need to be included that you are alwayd looking for new things. It's so visually appealing that its almost never a bad choice to watch it. 3. Yeah the writing is just perfect. Every line said by every character oozes fantastic characterisation. You can extrapolate so much from just a line. For example, the 2 lines we get from Metro Mans parents help explain why he is such a show boat, and why he craves the attention being a hero grants him. It also sets up another contrast and parallel to Megamind. Both try really hard to be liked through the movie. Metro Man becomes a hero even though his heart isnt in it and Megamind seems to give up after school, but as soon as someone shows him kindness he really wants to be better and liked. The contrast is, the prisoners at the start of the movie are shown trying to teach him and take care of him vs Metro Man's parents who see him as a commodity. AND YOU ALREADY MAKE THAT POINT. Idk I love the writing in this movie. Also the Lesbian and the Twink sounds like an amazing movie about bearding
@joymoding3 жыл бұрын
I love comments like this, and there's so much effort I feel like I need to respond point by point. 1. Hm. I've never really thought of my voice as relaxing. People have told me they like it when I narrate stuff but I've only ever heard myself as "not horrible to listen back to myself (most of the time)". So that's a new compliment. Thanks 2. I like continuity, and I think most people like continuity because of why I like it, it's just that they haven't put much thought into why. I don't think it's the continuity itself, but rather it's the fact that there IS such continuity shows how much time and effort and, love, really, was put into this movie. Anyone can make a mistake, but people who *care* about them can (usually) find them. The fact that this movie has such excruciating attention to detail makes me love it all the more since you can physically SEE the effort that was put into all aspects of the film. 3. I mean, you explained it pretty well yourself, the writing is so meticulous, while so concise. Even though there aren't mountains of dialogue of exposition or drama, you still get so much from what is there. I think that's a sign of masterful writing. Not just that you can tell your story well, but you can tell it *simply*. So simply that children can perfectly understand it, and adults on the internet can gush over it ten years after the fact. Also the bearding thing made me laugh
@mudawott3 жыл бұрын
@@joymoding It truly is just such a good movie. And its so obvious that everyone involved was enjoying themselves. The animators deserve so much credit. I also find it fun to justify the "mistake" in universe. I its completely possible minion is using an improved new watch that hides eye colour (since we only see one for most of the movie). While Megamind uses the old one since his face isnt being blown up by the brain bots. Also just that entire climax where Minion emulates Megamind perfectly and Megamind emulates Metroman perfectly is such a good piece of characterisation. Like theee characters have to know eachother pretty well to act so believably.

12:53 Ah HA! A third imperfection. Why didn't metroman just super-speed his way out of there sneakily. He has been shown to be able to do it. That said, I absolutely love this movie, and it is one of the inspirations for my DnD (Numenera actually) character who is likes doing bad things, but has no magic and isn't a trained fighter. His only strength is his cunning and his ability to manipulate people. Its fun struggling with sheer cunning alone, and its going to be amazing when he becomes a good guy, and uses his bad-guy skills to take down evil.
