She was intentionally not answering his questions and trying to spin his words to make him look bad. She stepped way out of line from "a conversation" to "I want to be right even if I'm wrong". So he shut her down. Seems pretty legitimate. If she had a good argument, I would have liked to see how that would have played out. Edit: it auto corrected shut to an impolite word for excrement.
