Top 10 team and looking like a true contender to make a top four seed in the playoffs. ACC is really topsy-turvy this year and the teams we thought were great. Might suck, but look at cow, Louisville still might be good, and fly to state has talent they’re just not playing like a team yet. Georgia Tech on the road is not an automatic win either. Great offense with even better potential, but consistency is the key. Slow and said he wins the race.

Don't know much about ACC Championship and playoff run after two wins, but I DO KNOW about tight end play. Last year being short-handed after Arroyo's injury, Cam McCormack was elevated even though he was NOT a good receiver. He was a benefit to the running game. It didn't help VanDyke at all last year. Riley Williams didn't exist. This year this balance in the TE room with a little bit of depth. Arroyo appears to be at full speed. Cam McCormick learned how to put his hands together when a ball is thrown to him. Riley Williams is a valuable substitute or can play as a blocking back in two-TE formations. I love their usage in Shannon Dawson's offense.

I'm not a fan of the AP poll at all. It might have prestige (and make a hell of a lot more sense than the coaches poll), but they still heavily favor their own pre-season opinions and take a long time to adjust. Oregon is the most glaring example. They've looked bad, and listen they'll have every opportunity this year to win and prove otherwise, but if you looked at how they've played this year you wouldn't give them a chance at beating OSU, even hosting that game. Penn State is in the same boat. A gutsy win against in Morgantown was almost completely erased by a struggle against Bowling Green week 2. On the opposite side they need to be less bashful about rewarding teams for big wins. Tennessee needs to be higher. Ole Miss, Mizzou, and OSU all have combined to play a few MAC schools, a CUSA school, and FCS high school fillers. I'm not impressed, and I know nothing about those teams. Did Mizzou really reload their team after losing almost their entire defense? Is Ole Miss themselves actually playing good defense to compliment Dart's offensive production? How about OSU. Do we know that Will Howard, who is still unproven, is going to be enough to take this team over the hump? It's more talented than last year, but I'm looking at Kyle McCord over at Syracuse with farrrr less talent looking like an absolute genius of a QB. NC State didn't look good early, but Tennessee still definitely proved more in that win than Ole Miss beating the crap out of Furman did. Reward them. I think Alabama is the one spot I think I'd be hesitant to move the needle. They had a similar game last year and went on to beat Georgia. I think small isolated struggles like that are fair, but teams like Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Kansas State all having early struggles should have them looking up at Lousiville who started out unranked (god knows how), but has looked much better against similarly poor competition. I know a lot of these things work out, but the longer you leave an undeserving team in a higher ranking, the more their opponents will get a similarly inflated sense of importance because by golly they beat all these highly ranked teams.

People are worried about overlooking USF. I believe the coaches and players are gonna use the opportunity to dominate USF from the 1st quarter till the gun sounds and show the college football world that we curb stomped a team on the road that Alabama struggled with at home. Same with Cal. Cal beat Auburn in Alabama, it will be noticed if we do what we are suppose to do on the road out at Berkley.

But saying it's not in the cards this year sounds like your saying a Natty or even playing for it is out of the question and is certainly not out of the question. I know we don't want to get ahead of ourselves but there are many future NFL players on this team. 3 maybe 4 of our starting OLine will get drafted. Top 2 RB and maybe top 3 TE will get drafted eventually. And a case can be made that our top 4 WR will all make rosters. That is a fucking super talented offense that in a huge game or games we could step up with a superstar 1st round QB and beat anyone
