As bad as UM's defense played against Ga Tech, I believe Ward knows he could have played better and won that game. He passed up too many check downs and opportunities to take off and run.

Until I see it, the only thing that's changing is the day on the calendar. Guidry has had nine weeks to make adjustments and/ or changes. Instead, he goes into a game, as Rudy mentioned, with preparation for what is on film and not tweaks that the opposition will make. Guidry makes adjustments at half time, which is good, but it puts us in a hole to begin the game with. He's really showing just how mid level he is.

Love my Canes. However, the end of this season is starting to look a lot like 2017. We’ll know soon enough if Wake Forest controls the edge and if their short passing game is productive. Long, time-consuming drives will hurt Miami. Honestly, Miami should destroy Wake but not certain they will.

Watched Ga Tech last night against NC State. Tech could barely gain a yard running to the outside. Tech scored 2 defensive TD's essentially. N C State is not a great defense but even they stymied Tech's offense..That UM defense was truly an embarrassment against Tech.

I think the spread is way too high against Wake Forest. Dave Clausen is a good coach, and he'll have his team ready to play. The issue remains the defense. Too many other teams with worse records play much more sound on defense than us such as Arkansas, Kentucky, Wisconsin, even UNC and Kansas have played better on defense over the last few weeks than Miami. I will need to see it to believe it. And here's the deal, Miami has exceeded my expectations this year.

Lousy defense all season vs mostly unranked teams. They didn't finally get exposed, same ol canes. IF they make the playoffs, expect to get smoked on national TV.

I should say last year it wasn’t great but it was better than what we’ve had in the last 20 years, but we have greatly digress From last year to this year and nothing has got better since week one we’ve actually gotten worse and that falls on coaching and the talent of the secondary we got young talent that’s decent but the secondary overall isn’t that good our linebackers can’t cover that good and Guidry runs this exotic schemes that are garbage and he tries to run man defense too much and we don’t have people that can play man defenselineman are actually all defense lineman 100% of the time run up

I’m a lifelong Canes fan but IMO we are damn lucky to have not lost at least 3 games! I don’t think much of Guidry at all! Don’t expect the Defense to help much at all! I don’t believe the players are this poor, if they are then Mario is not as good of a recruiter as he’s billed! I would also like to see Ward occasionally take what the defense gives him! Every time he drops back I feel he’s trying to win the Heisman trophy with a highlight real show stopper! I feel like we have the talent to win the ACC championship and get a first round bye in the playoffs but I’m not sure this coaching staff are good enough to make it happen! I expect to have white knuckles these next 3 Saturdays!
