Unfortunately, we in India tend to complicate every little thing. The taxation is complex. The laws and regulations are complex. We don't reward meritocracy. We pay a high tax rate and get nothing in return, especially the middle class. Poor public infrastructure, low social benefits, corruption, poor implementation of welfare schemes. Maybe something to ponder for us Indians as we celebrate 75 years of independence.

Thanks for raising this issue. In Punjab almost 1lakh young students go to Canada each year for studies and then they never return. Initially they need anywhere between 15-20 lakh and later their parents sell land and other properties here to buy them house and everything else there which is normally in the range of 1-2 CR money going outside per student or anywhere between 1-2 lakh crore per year. Due to this major money drainage, property rates here are stagnant for last 10 years while property rates in Toronto and Vancouver become sky high. That money could have been used here to build factories and generate employment for youth leaving India. Increased taxation if not combined with anything in return, force citizens either to be dishonest or leave country

This video is making lot of sense. As once Subramanian Swamy said, income tax should be abolished as we pay many taxes already. First we pay taxes on what we earn and then from tax free money if we buy anything then again we pay taxes. This kind of nonsense should stop. It is like who works very hard, honestly and pay their taxes honestly gets more penalty. Surely, time will come where honest people will also start becoming dishonest if this trend continues. It is like take care of countrymen and they will take care of country.

Not everyone can sacrifice their life in our broken and toxic economic infrastructure. Though India's Economy will grow incredibly the population of poor people will grow too. In India governments try to squeeze more and more money from existing tax payers instead of increasing tax base like for example there are many shop keepers and businesses who make good money but never disclose their incomes and not pay tax on their full income. Government should put efforts to increase tax base and grow the economy size much faster than squeezing existing people. Whether we agree or not taxation is high, we should accept the problem and take steps to avoid brain drain to other developed economies like US, Europe, Australia...etc in order to strengthen our economy and fasten the innovation and entrepreneurs ship within India. Reduce the tax if govt hv surplus money , it shud not be allowed to use fr buying votes. It is rich and middle class who paying 70% of all taxes collected by govt. Mr. Sundar, wonderful video, worth watching it. Whatever you mentioned about "over taxation in India" is absolutely correct, Indian government should reform taxation policies. In the video you said "tax should be collected like a honey being plucked by bee from flower, not like a sugar cane juice" it is a great example. If Indian government lower and simplified taxation policies the tax revenue will automatically increase. In present scenario everyone is effected by high taxation.

Japanese people never migrate or even think of moving out of their country, though they all can migrate to live in any country by giving up their citizenship. Japanese r so patriotic, for them nation is above an individual. They feel proud to use and buy just their own Japanese brands. Japanese people will only go abroad to travel or to work in their own Japanese company based in other country. I heard South Koreans hv a same patriotic mindset. That has helped them to grow and develop as well as preserve their all national interests and cultural identity. Good for Indians to learn patriotism from Japanese people.

Majority of the money is drained in tax to the govt. Post that the govt has regressive laws of scrapping after 15 yrs age of the car, indirectly you are forced to buy a new car irrespective of the condition of your asset. A vast majority of people who leave the country for higher education or for better opportunities abroad have love for their motherland and miss many things that were dear to them once. They send money and support their families they have left forcefully behind. Repatriations by the Indian diaspora indeed form an important component of our foreign exchange reserves. People who flee the country fearing high tax rates are a different breed. They just want to protect their capital they have earned . Many in fact may opt to stay and operate from India even after they obtain an alien country's citizenship. They may in fact have chosen not to be dishonest, a feeling every right thinking citizen abhors to entertain. The government must not only rationalise the tax regime, it must also create an environment conducive for our brethren to return to their homeland and contribute constructively in nation building utilising their talent and resources they garnered during their stay abroad. Also needed is a pinch or pound of patriotism which is clearly deficient in most of us. In this respect the government's recent initiative of democratising national flag availability and "Har ghar Thiranga" campaign must be lauded as it can instil a sense of patriotism in the minds of common man and most importantly amongst children

Regarding higher taxation, Indians among the lowest percentage of income tax payers ( only 6.25 % ) compared to 45 per cent of Americans paying tax. Don’t think what ur country is giving you..rather think on what you are giving to your country. ‘Dil diya hai jaan bhi denge aey watan tere liye’ Developed country is made by their own people and all we want is to enjoy their efforts and not interested to put efforts in our own nation building

India is a very big country with a big population. We are a developing country with so much poverty. Also we have two big enemies on either sides. To look after such a huge population, to strengthen our security establishment we need a lot of money and resources. Without taxation it's no easy to manage. By paying tax you are contributing the most than anybody. Leaving a country just that you have to pay tax is absurd. Earn more instead. Sundar sir donated so much during covid. When he can do we all also can do. I don't know why Sundar sir is doing such thing.

Tax is just as high in USA, Canada even more, Germany very high, most EU countries very high. Also medical facilities are much better in India and same is for education. I have lived in US and also in UK, most friends and I always postponed doctor visits and operations till we came for holidays in India. Why is Silicon Valley full of Indians ? Because they got the right attitude to life living in India. I pity people who make all their life decisions on basis of money alone, these are the truly lost souls.

I live in Germany. Taxes are high but we do get benefits from government. Free education for children till the age of 16. Free kindergarten for children, free health care (although need to wait for appointments if it's no emergency), free doc consultation, medicines and medium level surgeries since you pay health insurance. Public transport one of the best in cities so you tend to walk more and spend less on fuel and cars and thereby keeping you healthy. And most importantly good work-life balance where employers don't treat you like criminals for taking leaves. It's a no brainer really.

@@vinayyadatinagaraj2509 And still get 3rd rate treatment from Germans. Don’t deny it, EU is full of racism. Anyway, if you are living life solely on 100% materialistic terms, go ahead, but most Indians living abroad don’t have any real sense of identity, they are totally confused about what to do … go back to India or stay here with their 4-5 families as friends. Indians never integrate into the culture, and why should they? Western culture is a useless culture, teens having sex at age of 12?

@@anandbharti7735 Do you know there is unofficial reservations for females in all corporate jobs? A man sent his resume to 100 companies and got 3 responses. He then posed as a female with same educational qualifications and applied in same 100 companies and got 88 responses? This started in US and is now happening in India also. All the best to you sir, all over there is a lot of unfairnesses but in between this mess, I prefer to live among my family and fellow Indians.

My younger brother studied Medicine and father strived hard for him. He left as soon as graduation in 1973 to America. Soon he married a girl there and forgot everything else. He has been there, since. My daughter went to America in 2008 and got Green Card some years ago. For me my Country Bhaarat is Supreme despite so called anomalies. The British extracted from Bhaarat everything like Sugar cane, not like the Bee. The erstwhile regime of thieves have simply looted like their predecessors to devastate the poor toiling masses. But Modiji is striving hard to lead Bhaarat to Glory and Fame. Let those miniscule haters go away. My Nation progressing FAST and also transforming. Just understand our Market is attracting huge Premium over others, why?
