Why Minecraft Xbox One Edition Is Still Great

I grew up with the Minecraft Xbox one edition and play on the oldest version of it, I can’t believe that it’s turning a decade old this year

Your able to make custom flat worlds in this version. I’ve made flat red desert survival worlds before and it’s a cool survival challenge. What you do is select create new world and go into more options, then select bonus chest and super-flat world and make world size and biome size large. Now that you’ve done that select ‘customise super-flat’ Now you should see the options at the top reading Layers, Biomes, and Properties. For the layers part, what I usually do is 3x red sand, and between 65x and 70x stone blocks. For the biomes part select Mesa. For the properties turn on caves, ravines, abandoned mine-shafts, and strongholds, make the spacing for the strong holds around half way, and set the count at 3. Turn on dungeons, decorations (important), and lakes. You can also turn on biome specific structures if you want wells to spawn too, also villagers don’t spawn in this biome. This is a cool survival challenge to do and I recommend it.

Strongest memory of MC for me was playing this version back in 2016-17, there was an animal limit but by going halfway across the world more could spawn so I had an army of 60-70 Wolves. No man could challenge me lol. Keep the memories, they make you who you are.

Exactly. There are so many different aspects to the game now, it’s really hard to keep up with all of them. It’s like there’s a subconscious checklist of things you gotta do in your world despite there literally being nothing forcing you to do it, but these older console versions feel truer to what Minecraft really is. There’s less structures and items to get, and more chance for you to make stuff without having to make an ‘Ultra mega ore farm super 9000’ to get by.

Xbox 360s are pretty convenient because if you saved your worlds to a hard drive, as far as I know, you can remove it and load your worlds into a new xbox 360. But the xbox one (idk why they did this) I think has their memory storage inside of the system (I think).

I recently re-downloaded Minecraft Xbox One Edition from a disc (i do infact still have an Xbox One). The music was great, very nostalgic at times, Minecraft was great back then, but now its just Minecrap, not worth playing, its just 1 - 4hours for new minecraft, for skilled playing in Xbox One Edition, could be a day, maybe 2. Its good that I've got the disc version so as long as Microtransa- Microsoft keeps releasing consoles with disc drives, it lives on forever.

Absolutely the cool thing about the X is having the disc tray, I have an S so I had to switch to digital (thank god I had it digital already). I believe there are disc repair places, I would try googling that. The Xbox 1 is typically good with scratch discs so that’s strange, did you try the old rinse under water gambit?

I don’t have Xbox one edition, but I do have the 360 edition. Sad that I can’t play it cause none of my 360 controllers seem to work anymore, maybe one day I’ll find some that work somewhere. General question: If I get it back and are able to play it again, would it work with an Xbox account I’ve made afterwards like on Bedrock? That’d be sick if that works. Ok so the way it worked in the olden days was - 1. Import your 360 World to Xbox 1, idk if it was automated but you could? Maybe it was a long time ago. 2. Important old old Xbox 1 saves to Bedrock. 3. Enjoy playing on Bedrock. Since the XB1 version doesn't "exist" anymore in the store its very difficult to do so maybe theoretically possible, but don't quote me this was like 10 years ago.

That world conversion method is definitely something I’ll be writing down though! It would be cool to see the old diamond ore house I made regardless of playing on a legacy edition or not. Oh god I can remember the 2-block high ceilings lmao I do reckon you could get physical copies of the XB1 edition second hand, like on a disc, that’s how I have the 360 edition and stuff.

last week i found my old xbox 360 my dad bought me in 2009, it still has the first version of mc on it and i tried it out It's A Whole Different Game when it comes to difficulty, getting to see the old world i had gave me memories i haven't thought about in years It's the same world which i got my first ever diamond and i have it in some chest in a hole in the ground xd The game's changed so much we don't even know how old it is, yet it's always been there waiting for the next journey

I recently replayed the trial version of MC Xbox One edition, (Was broke at the time, and you can no longer buy the game, but I was able to redownload that), and I booted up the tutorial world. And…honestly? The thing that sold me on it again was the TUTORIAL HOUSE. I’m dead serious. Back in the day, (I’m 15 lmao), what we all did on 360 and stuff when we were kids was just…build. We’d have a vague idea in mind of how we wanted something to look, and we executed it, even if it looked bad in the end. The tutorial house reminded me of that: They let you use whatever blocks you have access to, there’s no limit on how big it is, or how how many floors, id there’s a basement- Nothing. The only criteria is a door, a roof, and windows. Criteria that, naturally, we’d all have. All that boundless freedom, not dragged down by limitations, but…Being made better because of it. It’s just beautiful, and something modern Minecraft just can’t recapture (I still like modern Minecraft btw, I just think it has a different goal in mind than older Minecraft. The easiest way to show it is by listening to the music in each version: Older Minecraft was about surviving, and building whatever you were capable of. Modern Minecraft feels more focused on giving you a journey/sense of adventure, which isn’t BAD, just obviously different. I have fun in both of these, and I CAN technically do stuff I did in Older Minecraft now…But Modern Minecraft oddly feels like it has less limitations, which leads to less creativity imo.) TL;DR I like both styles of Minecraft, but I prefer the older version, I spent way too long on a comment no one’s gonna see

Cause the bedrock they copied the resources of Addons and shaders. And plus 4J Studios Are Saved their lives. A years ago I played old Minecraft called Titled they actually changed. Mojang change his mind liked 2010 & even 2016 and I was 13 years old on 2017. Think your right part of the childhood a good old memories back the oldest days I played with friendships and all that. If I gonna say guys and all players…Minecraft Mojang 4J Studios….is going back. I’m not sure about this.

You can’t digitally buy it anymore. However if any of you still own it you can download it on one/series, that’s why you were able to get it. (PlayStation I can’t speak for) However they also still update it. there’s also obviously the disc. I’m surprised they still allow you to at least download it considering we live in a world where companies take away your games when it’s taken off the store

@@CobaltTux I've had a really old realm just have an area that would crash your game we called it crash temple because some random person made a temple there and it simply crashed your game when you go near it or it will say disconnected due to world corruption and i don't think someone intentionally made it I think it was a glitch

On the S no sadly because they removed it from the Microsoft store but if you have the X you can buy the disc still

⁠@@CobaltTuxi have a question, I bought the game on the one s digitaly years ago. I can’t transfer it to my series x. if i buy the disc will i be able to get my ad-ons i bought from the one s? sorry if this doesn’t make sense, i’ve been trying to get it on my series x because my one s is getting old and much slower.

@@scakins if you bought it digitally you should have it. I got mine back when it released on the original Xbox one and I was just able to download it on the series S and the Xbox one S I used in between them. as buying a physical copy it should transfer over everything without a problem. Maybe you bought it on a different account and was able to play it through my home Xbox?
