Why Modded Farm Sim 19 is BETTER Than 22: My Take :)

Precision farming is in 22, it's quite a good addition. Personally I add crop rotation also which gives you better and lower yields depending on your rotation or lack of. There's tons of mods for immersion with 22, "slip destroys fields" where slips ruin the soil and is effected by soil moisture. Mods for fluctuating land prices, a better loan system you pay interest on and based on your assets and so on. The seasons in FS22 is pretty similar to seasons in 19, the differences are if you harvest in the rain you'll get reduced yields. You can also add a mod called 'rain pain' for FS22 in which "Cultivators, seeders, weeders, plows, and more, will slow down and get damaged in rainy or frozen conditions. Plows and cultivators are the most affected by poor soil conditions; seeders and mowers less so. The poor weather also affects how well certain tools work, such as balers and liquid sprayers, and your harvest yield will be less until you wait for the ground to become perfectly dry, which takes the same number of game hours as you have days in a month." Other than bales rotting if out in the open with seasons fs19, to me there's more realism available due to the larger number of mods available on fs22.

Definetly agree with alot of what you've said. Trouble is FS19 is probably the worst iteration of Farm Sim graphics wise in my opinion. I can't stand the way it looks and the HUD is disgusting lol. If I wanted to play with the more in-depth seasons mods I'd probably go back to FS17, that game had some cracking maps and mods. To be honest, I don't play these games much anymore but FS25 is looking very promising - here's hoping we get some more detailed and immersive mods regarding seasons etc.

The reason i play fs19 is because the fs22 gearbox is awful, the mod i have for gearboxes in fs19 is amazing and very customizable

Most of that is settings on the tractor data themselves, some are way off or lazy such as having 5 gears on a tractor with 20. To which you can edit with a text editor, though there's gearbox mods also.

sadly going forward Farming sim. will be everything about being less sim and more about catering to normies....

Sorry I don't follow you. From what I understood Seasons are in FS22 but in a more simpler form. Am I missing something?

@SimulatedHeaven will for one Precision farming is in 22 as well, in fact they actually expanded on the idea to wear your fertilization method would depend on how you get paid based on how green it was. Also seasons is in the game it doesn't have the Frozen feature or the rain feature, but it does have the crop calendar and everything else. Finally, there are a few mods on the marketplace that fill the Gap with seasons and make it to where you can't Harvest during when the crops are wet, that same amount also makes it to where the speed of your Harvester is based on the horsepower and the amount of crop you're taking in. For me personally realism is one of my most favorite aspects of a game and at 100% get where you're coming from.

Yeah precision is already in fs22 not sure if they are identical but it has a lot of nice elements that i cannot play without it, about the implemented seasons in f22 well usually when it snows you cannot seed or harvest so its kinda stupid how they've implemented it, i use the mud mod so if it rains you can forget about harvesting because a. less yield, and b. the harverster will sink and get stuck in rain, the same can be said about seeding and doing any fieldwork during rain, especially big rains that last many hours even with 500hp tractor you are bound to sink.

@@KarterBigs agreed it's really sad that Giants is dumping down the complexity moving forward...and its even sadder that there is not any healthy competition for this game.
