Modern art: a landscape of sellouts, materialism, and inauthentic art. Is this a bad thing? Well, its great for the artists at the top. They can make a ton of money doing what they love, and show off to the rest of the world. But the problem lies in this paradox. We try to replicate what the best artists of today have done, completely ignoring our own desires and personalities.

as a photographer I got so consumed in my admoration on social media that I forgot why i started photography in the first place. I find myself comparing my art based on how many likes it gets. Its toxic and I stopped using social media and been much happier.
