Tried out your hip drill today and I must say it has already made a big difference. Drives are so much straighter and not coming over the top now.. Love this channel and the content you produce. Keep up the good work. Also, don't tell Rick but I prefer your content 😂

I love how you break this stuff down Pete, just wish I could get a real live lesson! Here's my pitch. You take me from my current 23 handicap to single digits in 1 year. We document the journey, I get good at golf, you get great content. We could call it Swing Quest for the Closed (club face)

In all seriousness I have learned alot about golf mechanics from Pete but i have been struggling with a slice on the big stick and low launch angle. This vid has absolutely shown me what the issue is (5 golf lessons didnt), for that I thank you.

This is a great lesson. I just figured out how to hit a push draw last weekend during practice and might suggest that a feel that worked for me was throwing my trail shoulder at the ball while keeping my lead shoulder closed. I have really poor hip turn/awareness/sequencing so this essentially got me to the same place without thinking about what my hips were doing.

Best drill/feel I’ve seen so far! I could not figure out “firing my hips” thank you!

I went for a lesson and my pro said that i need to hit up on the ball have more spine tilt and come from the inside more which was addressed exactly in this video so thanks so much now i have a drill to work on. So create a hip bump to create spine angle naturally creating space for a shallowed club.

Would that advice apply to an iron swing as well? Wha would be the differences for this hip movement for driver vs irons?

Wow Pete! Great drill and tip to fix my slice. I've always heard to fix club path or club face, but this tip is the key to getting the other things in motion. Can't wait to work on this drill.

Great stuff Pete. I changed to the jumbomax grips and the first few swings were big miss right, but once I worked it back it went back to a nice little fade. Excited to get back out on the course soon.

Nice one, Pete. I'm going to remember this one as the Shakira Session (the hips don't lie... or slice!) Great tip; simple drill; perfect bite-size content for the range. Thank you.

Great video - I am someone who needs the breakdown and a practise move/feel to work on. Thank you Pete!

Have you done one of these for irons already

Used this at the range this week. Slice was gone immediately when I was using my lower body properly. Absolutely striping it down the middle and the occasional baby draw.

You have to be physically ready to practice the bump. I hurt myself pretty badly while practicing this move. I failed to transfer my weight to the front foot when I came through and bumped my hip at full power. This tore something in my hip. It has plagued me for nearly a year now as I do PT in an attempt to get my game back to normalcy. I had been in a motorcycle accident a few years prior to this so I had weakness still lingering from the accident. I am just saying.. be careful out there if you are physically compromised in your lower back or hips. This move will test your recovery progress, and that is a test you do not want to fail.

This video couldn’t of come at a better time. Just sat down after losing 4 balls in a medal round. Would of had a worldie of a round if I wasnt +8 from tee shots alone 😂

I blitzed my slice. That toast didn't stand chance! 😂😂😂

Currently I only close the driver face every now and then I will give this a try but my miss is a big open face straight right not a slice stupid game that golf is!!!!!!

Stop HITTING at the BALL, it's NOT the TARGET.!

This is such an unbelievable comment and I can't believe I never thought about the GOLF swing this way. If I play tennis I try and hit a spot on the court, not the ball. If I play baseball, hit the ball to a spot on the feild. The reason I've never thought this way is because the ball is stationary. My mind is truly blown.

So my 300 yard drive calculation is going to have to change 250yards from the tee + 50 yards from the centre of the fairway = 300 yards, shut up that’s how it works isn’t it 😂😂.
