Great video! However there are a lot of young folks out there that confuse thinking big with being big from the get go. Meaning they wanna start out big and accept anything less. They're not thought that you get big by starting very small and enjoy the journey. I started my own small business in 2001when I was 18 while working at a construction job full time and It took me a good 3 years of hard work and patience to be able to see some profits from my business. I didn't quit when it wasn't all Rosie I kept going cuz I believed in my idea. I also made a lot mistakes but I embraced it and learned. What kept me going was my passion for what I was building. The moral of the story is "Think Big Start Small" and enjoy the long journey that's the number 1 secret.

i guess most people are afraid they ARE one of the chickens who waste time trying to fly when they never will. I say it's more fun to keep trying if you enjoy something cause that's where a lot of joy can be found. It really is the journey.

@charlesrichardsjr.1587 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I stumbled upon your video after watching my usual fix of Big Think. I watched this video in it's entirety, and I feel you brought up some decent advice. The advice about not making excuses, ignoring trivial matters, and the fact of if you want fly high you must first try. Now before delving deeper in this, keep in mind that I am a type of judgmental person. By that type I mean that I am a defensive judgmental person. Do not worry about me berating you. One thing kind of irked me though and has brought up a disagreement. Before I get to that, I feel that you seem to be a factual kind of individual. And I want to discuss some facts. I don't mind looking at people factually. Factually looking at individuals like Bill Gates and let's say Hip Hop artist Snoop Dog, they are both of great monetary worth, meaning in technical terms they're successful looking to business. The difference is in their success, which are two completely different stories. We'll come back to this in just a moment. Now when casting judgement on others for where they have been or where they're going, there are different types of success that people go through. I'm just going to make a up a scenario. Say we're looking at a multi-million dollar CEO of a privately owned company. Next we look at a mother of three children, the children have grown into adults and have their own lives. Some would say with a certainty that the CEO, is more successful than the mother of three children. Some would in contrast say that the mother is more successful than the CEO. Some would say both are equally successful. Now getting back to Bill Gates and Snoop Dogg. Bill Gates is without any doubt one of the richest people on Earth, an intellectual with enough business orientation to do what would be today a difficult task. He is the creator of Microsoft along with a few others, and has profited from the work of others. He's not a terrible guy, just not a fair one from what I perceive. Snoop Dogg on the other hand is a very wealthy and celebrated hip hop artist. His music not really my taste but I've heard enough of it to realize he has some truth and like most hip hop can, at times revolve around gossip. The disagreement I have is that, success can be made of anything. How big it is, is something that matters to the individual who earns it. Even trivial people don't need to be disowned because of their ways of thinking. My mother isn't like Bill gates, Snoop Dogg, or some rich CEO bastard. My mother found success in life from raising her children, and if that's not a big enough success, I can't tell you in life, what a success really is. She often speaks trivially but she hasn't wasted my time. Trivial is a way of being, it makes people ask questions. This tad bit of chaos is required to make a persons mind work. It builds social skills while testing topics and patience. To not have patience, is destructive of a persons mind and body. Thinking big requires patience.

My father has been opening plenty of different businesses in the last 20 years and he bankrupted every single of them. He doesn't care about the amount of debt he created, he is still thinking big about next business and expecting his debts being paid back by his children or just written off by a bank
@LearningREADefined7 жыл бұрын
Haha darn. Well you're going to have to pretty darn successful to pay them all back then. There is another thing to note though, while failure is a good teacher for success, just make sure you note what you're doing well in, and what to improve on. Your father could have just been a go-getter and pushes himself further in every business hence they all became bankrupt, but we must remember to learn from our past experiences. Taking on new challenges while doing the same thing will only bring about the same fate, kind of like playing the slots at a casino.

I hope he and otha leaders notice how wrong certain people do poor countries and think on how we gonna show them love . cause the people who didn't invent the root of evil aka money, be getting the short end of the stick. We can change that if we think big enough like he said in his video
@LearningREADefined8 жыл бұрын
Hey Sir huzza yeah. I agree. There are two types of wealthy people, people who buy expensive houses, and those who give a lot of their money for a good cause. Maybe this video will create more leaders that do the latter :) -J
@jchinckley7 жыл бұрын
+Rei Chi, +LearningREADefined, You are both not thinking big enough. Rei, that concept comes from the bible and it does *_not_* say that money itself is the root of all evil. It says that the *_love_* of money is the root of all evil. LearningREADefined, there are a lot more than 2 types of wealthy people. I know one multimillionaire (yes, personally) that spent several months going out to a prison to help them get a grasp on life on the outside. His brother donated several million dollars (10 or more, I think) to help with the construction of a local hospital for children. Both of them had more than one house and the first one gave his 5000 sq ft house to his daughter and son-in-law, then moved away to a small town. There he's bought an old run-down school that was abandoned years ago and is now remodelling it into townhomes. Something else to consider is that both Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg have donated millions to charity. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, Bill has actually donated in the hundreds of millions to charity. Unfortunately, none of that necessarily means the last two are "good" people. They might consider it an advertising investment to bolster their personal brand (which is themselves, of course), but it also doesn't mean they're necessarily bad people. You have to take more into account than just money. You have to know how they invest their personal time too. The saddest thing about this whole conversation is that if you two continue thinking about money this way, you will never be truly successful because you won't be able to obtain enough of it to make those other ideas actually happen. If you want to see change in the world, go make your money, become successful, then *_be_* the change you want to see. Go out and help those that you can then. And if you really want to think BIG, figure out a way to make it possible for those people in underprivileged countries to become what they want to become, including in those places where they may be restricted in their reading privileges.

hey Jason awesome video like always, the quality has improved but personally i didn't like the background music, anyways speaking of thinking big and believing in yourself it won't happen unless you put in the work and hours to master what you do specially in todays world where it's all about competition, or you can be smart enough and come up with a brilliant idea that nobody thought of and avoid all the competition, but i think what people lack the most is the execution and the wiliness to go through all that shit, you've got to go out there and take it. i like your attitude and i see your channel is growing congratulations on the 3000 subs next time i wanna see 100k ;) well i have a suggestion if you don't mind, instead of doing these books animations why don't you do do animated biographies about people who started from scratch and made it to the very top like Elon Musk i don't know any channel who does that. Keep it up! and thanks for sharing.
@LearningREADefined8 жыл бұрын
+Anas Hmamouch Haha, thanks Anas! Hopefully you don't wait till 100k subs till you visit again :p Yeah, maybe i'll make the music something more upbeat next time, I had a feeling it was TOO upbeat before, but this might be too relaxing. I'll definately think about what you said, the only thing is, I haven't read a lot of biographies, only the popular ones. But I know eventually, I'll start something special, I don't know what yet, but we will see :)

Whichever firm you select, make sure you get your insurance from a reputable financial adviser, such as Jenny Pamogas Canaya, who has dedicated her career to financial planning. Because they will assist you in escalating, navigating better, and completing the task in a safer manner||
