When i was a little girl, & knowing my dad, (never had her fixed & mean). I had a beautiful white cat, whenever she had a litter, i'd wake up to find her kittens on my bed around my head. Tbh, i learnt what trust was from her. We had 3 cats, but only mine was female. I miss her so much. And I'm 50 years old now. She wouldn't "trust" no one else except me. When she was finished outside, she'd come back in and sit on my bed for a while, then take each one back to the cupboard where she had given birth. 💜

You should bring her to the vet for spaying/neutering. Getting pregnant all the time is tough and life shortening for stray cats and is a multiplying problem because, though many of the kittens die in an early age, the surviving ones will get more kittens very soon and many of those kittens will die again and the surviving will make more kittens ... and so on. So spaying and neutering and then putting them back where they came from is a very humane way to break that cycle. Plus she will have more energy for herself and her own body which results in better health in the long run.

I miss Momma:( my parents around the time I was a little kid, my mom took in a pregnant cat and she had her kittens in our home. She was so sweet and caring not only to her babies but me and my brothers who were toddlers at the time. If any of us were crying, she would lick our tears off our facees and rub herself on us to comfort us:( which really was a blessing cuz my mom was not very emotionally available for me at the time. But after her kittens grew up she meowed at the door and my mom let her out and she never came back:( I miss her so much, me and my mother's relationships a little bit better now, and of course I love my mom but there are times I wish I had Momma:(

Our eldest 2's mum liked boys but hated girls. She had 1 surviving daughter (our eldest) and 5 sons in her 2 litters. Our girl would always be the one she left behind or ignored. Fortunately, our girl had 2 wonderful uncles (1 biological and an older cat) who doted on all their nephews and niece equally, cleaning them, taking care and keeping them warm. That breed with the short legs are called Munchkins. It was disgusting what breeders did to create that breed. They took a genetic deformity to inbreed cats to produce cats with short legs to sell for up to thousands of dollars. That breed comes with a lot of health problems like osteoarthritis for one. Some kittens can barely walk. Mothers have such short legs the kittens drag the floor is she held it properly, so she often tries to grab them in the middle of the back instead of the loose skin around the neck. The kittens scream in pain. One vet called it the breed of cruelty.

This makes me remember how we got Peter, he was just a little kitten, probably 1-2 months old last year, and he was inside my sister's house meowing and grabbing her attention, so she just called me to take care of him bc she was currently occupied with her job(she works as a home office) so i fed him and took care of him for awhile, he was super tired and just kept sleeping on my lap. The neighborhood that i live in has so many stray and home cats hanging around and down the streets there's even a store where the owner feeds the stray cats there, so i believe the mom or dad left Peter in here bc it probably knows that it'll be taken care of, probably being communicated by another pet cat that also visits my house to play with me when i get back from school, she's from my neighbor's but sometimes she goes out to be with other cats or just invade's ppls homes(especially mine)

Nearly 20 years ago my wife and I took in a gorgeous furry tabby because she was pregnant. She was so sweet and we didn't want her having her little ones in the wild plus it was winter. My childhood cat gave birth in my mom's closet one day. A few days later, I came home from school to find her entire litter sleeping on my pillow. Mom tried to take the kittens back to where she gave birth, but got swiped at twice, so she left them on the pillow. I tried to put the pillow on the floor, but she got sassy. So, I just put the pillow in a basket and move it to the side of the bed (against wall and headboard), that way it wasn't blocking me, she got to stay on the bed, and I didn't worry about them falling off.

Primarily because they trust you completely! As a preteen I had a cat named Smokey. It was winter and the house did not have central heating. We had to get up and put wood on the woodstove to warm the house early in the morning. I awoke to find a bloody mess and three newborn kittens between my knees an no sign of Smokey! I guess she went to find food. I tucked the three kittens under the covers to keep them warm until she returned. Now that is absolute trust on her part!

Can confirm! My cats would always hop in to take care of the babies so Mama Cat could have a break for the litterbox, water, and food. My Boomer helped the second mother we had out by playing with the kittens and watching over them while she was off getting her needs taken care of. He’s always been a great big brother/uncle to them. Even to this day with the two I kept from two different litters she had.

A year ago, my cat given birth to 5 kittens, they live under the table on a non-doored room in my house. It's like a weak after that, a stray black cat got into my house, attacked her room, and fight with my cat at the morning on that day. And after that, my cat brought all of her kittens out to the kitchen right in front of me and my brothers, we wondered why she's doing that. 4 kittens out safely, but the 5th kittens seems not moving, and when she put him down, I saw that he was injured, and unfortunately, he was dead right before she brought him to us. And now, for about half a year, she's lost, and what remain is one of her kitten, but he's not a kitten anymore.

My cat never had to do this … you see she was 4 months old when she escape and came back pregnant, she came to us when delivery time was on, I assisted her with her kittens and after all I bring her fresh water and food help her to keep the kittens clean with a warm water and a clean towel changing the covers pillow and blanket we had for her she appreciated it , one of the kittens didn’t make it , that one was weak sense the beginning, my daughters friend is a vet and she came over and she prescribed sume supplements but it didn’t make it she pull him to the side but she never left his side she showed me and it was the most broken hearted meowed I ever heard from her I wrapped it in a little blanket and she just sit there like ok I am ready to say good bye as she looked at me and turn around I take it out and berried. Now every other time she goes in my closet and she sits where she place the kitty and just stays there with her eyes close🥺

That’s how you trained them to live . It’s instinct. It becomes nature for them to want there kids to have what they have . More so if it’s in a home . In the wild it’s probably more desperate save the children time .

Still remember my cat brought her kittens to my bed after few weeks of birth but unfortunately 3 of them died. mama cat is still alive, whenever i look at her face the kittens face inside my mind 😢

Personal anecdote, I live on a farm and all of our cats just found us. One of these cats would always be pregnant and when they were older they would wander to our home. At some point we befriended her, and when her next litter came she brought them one by one from our chicken coop to our doorstep. We got them a box for warmth and helped take care of them! We got most of those kittens adopted, the ones that didn't either ran off or became our pets, and the mama cat is my buddy :) [she is cuddling with me right now]

Same here... our cats are all strays who just showed up on the farm over the years. They keep the barn free of mice and other rodents in exchange for shelter, food, protection from coyotes provided by our dogs and the occasional scritch behind the ear. One of them has decided I belong to him though and follows me on every hike or walk around the property I take though he dislikes being touched.

When our cat had kits, she brought all of them one by one to my mums feet, looked at her & ran through the flap. She came back several hours later & was very attentive. A week later, we found out she was pregnant again.

@@sadia2395 No way of knowing. It was a while ago & there were a lot of cat owners in the area. I've always had my suspisions though. There was one handsome tux doing the round that always seemed to have a smile on his face & a glint in his eye.

My cat luna had a sad backstory, her mother died because a stray dog ate some of her internal organs, then she was ran over by a truck but she luckily survived, we took her to the vet before taking her home but me and my parents were scared because we have another cat that is very jealous if other pets are introduced to her but when she saw luna my cat started sleepimg with her, it was so cute and i cant forget thta moment, they are now super close to eachother
