Why my 9th app worked

Hey guys just some other notes: - Whenever I launch an app I try and get the word out using YT, Reddit, and Hacker News. For Tic!, my post on Hacker News blew up and reached the front page, which is where most of the traction came from. However, I have done these things for other apps too and never saw this kind of traction. - As I mentioned, being unique is definitely not the only way to grow an app. This is just my experiance, but if you are super passionate about building something that has similar competitors still feel free to go for it! Just know that getting the word out can be hard, and so plan for that ahead of time ;) Edit: - Another thing about Tic! is that it's easy to understand why it is unique. For example, I made a family-friendly word based party game called Imagine Storiez. It was unique and fun, but making that obvious to a customer / viewer was a lot harder without actually playing a round with them. However with Tic!, it's much easier. I can just say "The only game with no visuals or sound" / "The only game you can play Anytime, Anywhere" etc. - Lastly, Tic! is a super unique game that Anyone can play Anytime, Anywhere even in situations you typically can't use your phone! it was future funk, but i might beat that bpm idk (24+ thousand attempts on acu, jump from clubstep with 69% as my best and completed in 3 runs) (i also got a minor heart attack on that 69% run, no joke)

I understand man. I know it's easy to say "oh don't care about them etc.", but more realistically in most cases you probably don't have to tell those around u if u don't want to (of course, it depends on what ur making exactly). There is actually already an apple watch version! It's a bit slower than iPhone since the haptic motor on watch is weaker, but its included with your iPhone Tic! purchase :)

I am not sure about completely free.. although there might be some lite version in the future. It's not really an app where it makes sense to add ads or something which is why I went for the paid option. I will have a sale around black friday / thanksgiving though.. Would it be more appealing if the price were lower or are you mainly just interested if its completely free? Just trying to get feedback - whatever ur answer is I completely get it just asking :)

​@@tic_app i mean technically you might be able to cheat the system by placing an small ad column at the bottom of the screen. That way it doesn't really intrupt the gameplay (people will get used to it) and you can make the app free which will skyrocket its downloads

​@@mahyar3451 That is true, a small ad at the bottom could be implemented. It's not something I have thought about adding right now since it does make it easy to see the screen is on, but is something I could look into in the future. Thx for the reply tho :)

It's basically like a fidget game where you match the rhythm you feel. It's fun to see if u can get the timing right or how many times u mess up!

I'm working on it - the play store has rules like requiring 20 testers to test the app for 2 weeks after they approve it and stuff so its taking longer than expected. Will let you know when its out in a couple weeks :)

All iPads don't technically have haptics, therefore the game is not currently on iPad.. its on iPhone and apple watch though..

The price is related to the functionality - being able to play anytime, anywhere, without anyone knowing. It costs about 2 bucks USD - of course whether or not u think it's worth it is up to u :)
