I absolutely agree as well! I made the same decision for my son when he was 2 years old, mainly because of the complications of injuries players recieve from playing. He does other sports that he can participate and be just as active.

I’m 35 but prays when God blesses me a husband and children He gives me wisdom on my children’s path and i not totally hinder their desires… bless you MOG keep doing the Will of the Father..💕

My husband and I have one son. My husband played from little league to high school. He broke his clavical in high school and ended his football career then. He said long ago no football for our son(s). Even little league is dangerous. He and his mom were just reminiscing on a little league game where the coaches of the other team got the kids in a huddle and told them to take out/hurt my husband. They didn't realize his mom was in the stands behind them. She immediately got up and reported it. It's just crazy that adults would try to get a kid hurt to win a game. Now his older brother is a coach and the same nonsense is still happening. In our opinion there's far better uses for his God given talents.

What you didn't see is how God took the moment to unite men of all different races to come together and pray. That was a powerful moment. How many people in the world are praying because of what happened? It was a powerful moment to see grown men crying and coming together to pray. The glory goes to God. God used that moment to bring the lost and people to him in 2023.

What makes you think that he didn't see that? D wasn't knocking the moment. He wasn't saying that people should not play football. He was stating a decision that he made for his future and not knock other's decisions. The point was to think about it. Decide. Then the hard part is lining up with the other parent. That's among many things to bring up during pre marital counseling. He meant no harm. Just love.

I have many boys and when they wanted to get into the sports arena I blindly let them, even though I was seriously worried about the possibility of injuries. But God later revealed many reasons to me on why they should not. When you get that feeling as a parent don't ignore it. take it to God in prayer and he will definitely lead you and your children on the path of righteousness for his names sake.

I have said for years I wouldn't allow my boys/girls to play football or push them to play football & encourage them to try other sports because of the severity of injuries to the body & brain. Seems in the black community parents mostly push football, football or basketball it's so many other sports people can make it big in other than football. Those sports are not promoted in our black communities and doesn't cause as severe injuries to the brain & body

My sons first year was last year I was a bit worried but I knew it was what he needed to toughen him up hi finished no injuries his team won the championship and he said he wants to play again , don’t take the opportunities away from Your kids but if you have a feeling then go with your gut my gut told me to put him in

I worked in the medical field and 98% of our patient who came in with concussions were football players. This sport is very dangerous and affects the brain in many ways. They glamorize football but the long term affects on a persons body definition isn't worth it. Some other sports as well. I can't believe that they have a slap sport now 😮

You read the Bible and you know about David, Moses, and Jesus. Do not rob your child of what God created and made them for. Allow God to use your child so they will do God's will. Ask Jesus is it better to do your parents will or God will? What did Jesus say to his mother Mary, he said I must be about my Father's business. Meaning Jesus was not here to do what his parents want, but he was here to do God's will.

My boys won't be in sports. I personally feel it has nothing to do with the glory of God. Its more competitive and entertainment base. Like I've said before God don't care how well u can run and throw a ball. Even if they donate or what not. I don't understand how this kind of entertainment promotes the kingdom of God. Where's the Godly influence or teachings in this? Plus I honestly feel most people in entertainment have to entertain unGodly things to even get that position or spot. My opinion tho🤷🏽

Bro every day you drive in getting a car you could get an accident you could have you or your kids seriously injured I respect your decision though although I personally believe a kid should be able to make the choice whether he wants to play a sport or not anything can change your life in a moments notice it doesn’t necessarily have to be sports for you to have a traumatic event

What if God plans for your son to play football? Do you or God know what is best for your son? I don't believe any parents should tell their kids what they should do; because the Creator God knows your child better than you. If you are a man or woman of God, you will pray for God to lead, guide and order your child steps to the purpose God created them for. The Author is God.
