K pop is not in movies the way Indian cinema has songs and dance sequences that are woven within the fabric of Indian cinema. So Kpop is not competition in this area.

I truly second what you said about taking Indian songs for Oscar nominations that no other Hollywood songs will be in the category . But when I got to know that Mr A.R.Rahman received Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire directed by an American film director. I realized that the Oscars either don't know what music is or they never heard Indian music, especially since 1950, or even for the sake of argument. Mr. Rahman's other movie songs that are way way better than slumdog millionaire.

True, South Indian Musical score , BGM , songs , composers , Singers , writers are completely different league like Sun in sky vs top of the hill on earth . Example Legendary S.P.B Garu alone sang 40,000 Songs , now count many singers , writers , composers , movies , books on music will be there across India .

I paused this video around 6:00 to comment here. The IMPACT that you guys make to Indian cinema from the land of the USA is BiGGER. You guys contribute to the success of a movie from an audience perspective. That's why people emote happiness and anger when they see and hear your criticism. Meaning that you are part of them sitting by the side and having illusionist virtual discussions about movies. You guys are big in indian film industry review.

howdy. may i recommend a documentary on netflix called 'black enough for you?' it tells about the history of black cinema in the USA. music and dancing in movies is something that we, africian americans, did for decades. my favorite dance scene to this day is the stair step routine from an old musical called stormy weather. sadly, we have gotten away from it (though we still can't help ourselves when it comes to yelling at the screen during a horror movie though). i smile as i type this because i believe that we are more alike than different.

Yes, Korbin, there would never be another Hollywood score nominated (if they had to compete with India). And fast forward a few years... and actual INDIAN AMERICANS would be bearing the brunt of that. How? Just think. The US's Republican Party supporters are already leaning so far right that being displaced in their own country will push them even further into the hands of the right wing. Do you really want that? You need to respect Americans and their right to have an awards ceremony that is THEIRS. Yes, give representation to INDIAN AMERICANS. We Indians have our own awards.
