The idea that a large portion of Alabama’s fanbase consists of “barely attached” fluff balls who will drop off at the first hint of a decline in the program is just another bogeyman created by detractors who can’t abide the thought of Alabama continuing to dominate college football. In reality, there is no way to distinguish between a “bandwagon fan” and any other, and if some fans do fall away I can’t imagine how that would benefit you and your ilk.

Wrong. LSU would have had two losses but only one would have been an SEC loss. Ole Miss would have had losses to Alabama and Georgia. So LSU would have won the West based on the head-to-head win over Alabama.
