I personally think that open bodybuilding is about mass monsters like Walker or Cutler back in the days. As long as U control mid section, which NICK did great, that's all that should matter. If U want more pleasing to the eye body, go watch classic and CBUM. They shouldn't be shifting to classic like bodies. That's what classic is for.

the qualification for the olympia is the problem. it would be wacky to think that this does not factor into the judging and promoting. martin had already qualified, nick (one of the more popular guys) has not. the ifbb is a business. they actually need to revert to the points system but just dial it back a bit so it isn't so stupid. either way, nick clearly won, and a "narrow decision" is just promo hype. it's all fucked up.

Martin is insane!!!! that's some crazy shit right there... He actually held he's ground VERY good against Nick so much so.... that if he had won don't think anyone would've complained... Yes Nick is much Wider... but Martin's has a much much better frame... pleasant to the eye. Give Martin couple years and this dude is going to turn some heads.

Martin has asymmetry in the arms, his traps look overdeveloped in the back shots and his lats don't flare out, and he was getting winded as they posed. How could it have been that close?

I don't think Quinton should shut his season down. I think he should keep competing. He did take some time off and it looks like that time off had no impact on his physique. He might as well measure his progress on stage rather than off stage. It is possible to make progress without take a year off. We saw it with Samson, Hunter and Tonio, just to name a few. Look at the guys who took a year off, including Nick, none of them made significant improvements other than Martin. They did poorly in the shows they did after their time off.

No, I disagree. I agree with Ian and Quinton needs to do one. If not both of the next two shows they’re only a couple weeks apart worked on some things. Figure some things out him and Matt get it together. Let’s try for the next little bit more class for the next shownext a few weeks there’s no need for the shut down right now. More than usual. The scoring in the ifbb is absolute crap and always has been but it's the worst it's ever been right now. Go back and look at the video you just showed us and you will see that Martin has a tiny little chest Martin's arms are small especially in front of bicep. Has lots are smaller than nicks from the front. Lats. Even Nick's legs are bigger although you could give Martin the point for the shape of his quads next legs are much bigger. Nics. Nick absolutely crushed him from behind although Martin's back looked better at night in the finals then it did in prejudging. Every single KZbin person running those live streams all had Nick way ahead and it was clear crystal clear he was going to win. It's the judging. The fact that two of their judges and their MC they're talking to people about who they think are going to win before the show starts is absolutely ridiculous and would never be tolerated in any other sport or beauty pageant. I personally think Nick's second place finish at the Arnold in 22 to Samson was his best look ever. He had no waste but the judges want to see him freaky and that's the last word he got at the Olympia in 2022.He should just dial in like he did at the Arnold and he will win the Olympia. When do you add in the other three or four top 10 guys who are going to be competing this year you may not even see Martin in the top eight he may be more like 10th 11th or 12th. I'm doing right now on anybody wants to bet placing of Martin at the Olympia.

let's not pretend that Quinton actually gained any noticeable mass in an entire 2 year off season. Granted the guy's structure is perfect, with excellent lower body detail and some of the best calves in today's lineup... but that's all. Muscularity-wise only his calves are where they need to be, everywhere else is weak to various degrees with his delts and lats being the weakest. I have not seen a most muscular and rear lat spread as underwhelming as this in awhile. His straight line quad sweep is also a cause for concern but he makes up for it somewhat with that crazy quad detail so you can't knock him too hard for that.

Im sorry but i do not get it with Nick Walker. Hes a great BB and looks narly from the back and pretty good from the side, but all his front shots are ugh..... His abdomen got huge....His legs look soooooooooo small. But his conditioning was sickkkk. I think Martin should have won, but i see why Nick did. I can understand. For sure.

Martin beat Nick imo but the judges gave it to the bodybuilder with more star power. Quinton and his camp looks like they over depleted. They should skip that step because he for sure looked better a week or so out from the show. He was full and conditioned with his back looking wide and lthick in RLS. Next time just bring that look.

Finally someone gets it I've been saying this for a long time 6ft and up most likely you are not going to be a good bodybuilder. And GOAT you are right and I said it too there's only been one MR.O that was 6ft and that was well over 40yrs ago. And Samson is 5'11 that seem to be the cut-off but he still gets smoked by shorter guys. Tall is a disadvantage in bodybuilding I don't know why it's so hard for some people to accept that?

6 ft is much too tall to even charge what height means to the Mr Olympia. If you go 5 ft 9 or 10 you then have the majority of the Olympia winners. Arnold 7. Lee Haney 8. Dorian 6. Ronnie Coleman 8. There's four or five other Mr Olympia that fit in the category also. If you are 5'9 or taller it will take a few more years to put on the muscle but it's much prettier when it's done. AKA Kevin levrone and flex and Ronnie and 50 other guys. Judging just sucks in the ifbb and that's the bottom line. They had the right winner but there's no way in God's green earth that Martin was even close. Go pose by pose and you will see that Martin clearly wins only one pose. All that hype about Martin's legs and when they're standing there in the video next legs are clearly bigger.. much bigger especially on the inside and deeper cut also. Martin is barely a top 10 guy and everybody's getting so freaking excited.

@@dparis2172 In that side tricep pose, Nick indeed has well defined thick abdominals. Lot of detail there. Also Martin is losing control over his lower ab there. In the side and back poses Nicks wide midsection doesn't hurt him. Even in most muscular hands clasped he is able to hide the thick obliques. It is the front poses and the transitions where Nick gets badly exposed next to guys with better shape. He has improved his FDB since early days but he seems too inflexible to open the lats in FLS. I don't see Nick winning the Mr O given guys with much better shape challenging him.

I keep saying Nicks front poses expose his short legs not matching his even bigger now upper body,Sansón beat him because of this and will do it again this coming Olympia. Martin lack of more weight was the reason for his second place. I can see Nick in 5th or 6th place if big Rami shows up at this Olympia. Dereck,Hadi,Sansón,Andrew, Lebrada,Brandon and Rami all of them can beat him,Martin if he gains 4 or 5 pounds can be a top 7 or 8th at the Olympia
