When you enter Kano and see the rich billionaires in that State, you will made to think that Dangote is a begger in the entire Kano State. Aminu Dogo, Alhassan Dantata and so many more. South African as a whole, Kano is richer than them not Capping, not to talk of Anambara, Abia, Kaduna or mother of all, Lagos.

To start with, an average politician in Nigeria is a billionaire in dollars, then talk about the business men who run companies, franchise and importation. They are all billionaires. Let me put it into perspective. It takes up to 20 to 25million naira to clear a 40feet container of imported goods and you have one igbo business man loading a ship with lots of containers. What about the oil and gas dealers and bank owners? Nigerian billionaires in dollars is mind blowing. I remember one favorite quote from the wife of one of Nigeria's ex president who said "We can never be as poor as dangote". Nigerian billionaires are the real Investors in the Nigerian economy.

I tell people that the Nigerian Economy is grossly underestimated. The government just don't wanna be left out in the western aids and loans. A lot is just not captured. Its long passed a trillion. That will be another shocker to come and ya'll will remember what I said today.
@MostlyPeacefulNinja2 күн бұрын
I think so too. But what are they waiting for? When will the real figure come out? I think it will make sense to keep the figure low if we are going ramp up local production and exporting of finished goods, but I don’t know why else they are waiting to show the real numbers. There has to be a good reason
@franklin31042 күн бұрын
Bro, you're dead-on right! The Nigerian economy is, at the very least, twice the size attributed and credited to it by the IMF, World Bank and others, in official estimates. I currently live in the United States, and every single income in both formal and non- formal sectors of the US economy is scrupulously captured officially, for taxation purposes, including but not limited to, for example, tips in restaurants and cab drivers, child support payment, interests, lotto winnings, inheritance, etc, etc, all of which goes into the US GDP calculation. Not so with Nigeria with a huge unaccounted informal sector resulting in very low tax base.
@Tellzel1072 күн бұрын
Check out those in government you will know why the government doesn’t want to leave the western loans and aids alone. Non of those in government can run a grocery store not to talk about running a country, they can’t generate income or wealth for themselves hence the loans and aids to loot.
@yulgerulaitis34092 күн бұрын
Nigeria's GDP, measured by purchasing power parity (PPP), surpassed $1 trillion some time ago. The country now ranks between 26th and 27th globally in terms of GDP (PPP), underscoring the significant scale of its domestic market.

Anyone with an iota of intelligence would realize that it's the Nigerians that have money that are the ones acting as social security In the society in the absence of govt doing what they are not supposed to do... do you have any clue how many people are put through school as a result of personal investment in people, do you have any clue how many are taking care of families feeding them, housing them settling up businesses for them etc .. its like people with no foresight expect people with money to leave thier businesses and start carrying out govt responsibilities. The ones they are doing is not enough for people like you. All you do is castigated people with money while being too lazy to research what they do for the less fortunate.
