It is not a bad idea if a Nigerian has a Ghana passport, if they will take time and learn one language before, the most common will be Hausa, after all we are mostly the same people. We are trying to survive in the jungle. After all I have seen white people who have Ghana passport but they speak Twi. please no hard talking about this at all. the host is right.

Nigerians who qualify for Ghana passports through marriage and naturalisation is not a problem. You have to ask why certain countries will not give Nigerians visas. If unsavoury characters holding Ghana passports are up to no good, Ghana will be in the same situation sooner or later. Corrupt officials should be rooted out and prosecuted.

That is a silly point to make about Ghanaians using US and UK passports. You don't get those passports if you don't qualify. You cannot pay bribes to get those. You will lose the UK passport if you are convicted of a crime.

If a Ghanaian is using American or any other country passport it means that has naturalized in that particular country and that passport legally to him by the government of that country and not through taking bribe and is completely different from your narrative.So what my sister is saying make sense.period.

I think the narrator is confused. If a Ghanaian is a naturalized citizen of the UK, USA, or any other country he or she can use their passport and that is not the issue. The point is that Nigeria using a Ghanaian passport may have acquired it illegally. That's the point!

@KammaDyn have u lost your mind? Why do u say that Nigerians can use our passports because they are africans. It's impossible to posses a Nigerian passport. Do u even know that in Nigeria u cannot have their passport even of u are half Gh, half NG. If it happens that it's your father that is a Gh and u have a Gh surname they will ask u to go to Ghana and get ya passport. You can only have your way through when it's your father that is a Nigerian and u have a Nigerian surname. A person born in Nigeria with both parents being Ghanaians do not qualify to take even when u have spent all your life there. Why would a Ghanaian even go for Ng passport when their own is among the weakest in the world. Yes our people have failed us but still u don't have to say that Nigerians can use our passports because they are africans. These ppl have lost alot of chances because of their bad behaviour even they have been cancelled from US visa lottery scheme, country's banned them and u say what?

My elder brother has lived in Nigeria for 44years,if he chooses to obtain Nigerian citizenship,cool. The issue is not the aquisition of Ghanaian passport,but whether it was done legally, i'm a Canadian citizen,i didn't buy it though,so differenciate between legal acquisition because the criteria is met and obtaining the passport through fraudulent means

I know some Nigerian men who are married to Ghanian women, and I believe they have the right to be issued ghanian passorts. The last time I visited Ghana, I met some Nigerian business men who have lived in Ghana legally for over 15 yrs, I think they also have the right of Ghanian citizinship. My advice is that you should not go for any passport if you dont merit it.

It all boils down to selfishness and corruption of those put in positions in Ghana. If we don't weed out corruption in the country then problems like this will persist. Nigerians like quick money so if they are using Ghana passport it's going to tarnished the value of the Ghana passport. Most of them might use it for bad purposes.

We don't have a problem with them using it but if they do anything bad, it affects the country. Ghanaians are using US and UK passports because they earned them, they didn't pay an agent to do it for them and they are using their real names. We shouldn't accept this, any bad thing the person does with a passport tarnishes and country’s image, and it will affect all citizens.

No matter how a Nigerian pretend using Ghanaian passport, the inborn character in them cannot be hidden. The foreign employers detect this fraud in them, reason they call real Ghanaians in their work place to speak with them.

A Nigerian who who was an assistant to the operations manager of my company broke the safe of the Manager and took away sales of $30,000., because of that the manager has vowed not to employ any African again.
