I need to check on this but if there's no law against PNoy running again someday, like, after 6 yrs., after someone else has served as president, then I think that's what he should do instead of trying to change the constitution. Anyway, selfish reasons are often behind a politician's desire to stay in office or extend his term, rather than a desire to serve his country, otherwise he'd do it for even a small salary or for free. I'm not being judgmental. I believe that power, wealth and ambition can make most people, including me, deaf, dumb and blind.

Manymul are you out of your mind? Marcos was performing really well in his first term.. and he did farely on his second term.. but when he seeked a term extension everything went south. Its human nature that when you give someone power for sometime they tend to hold on to it and will do whatever it takes to be in power as long as it takes.

Dear PNoy pwede po ba paki bigyan nyo na lang po ng lifetime job itong mga mahilig magprotesta yung hindi na sila pwedeng lumabas ng bahay para peaceful palagi ang bayan natin sumasakit na kasi talaga ang ulo ko sa mga ito eh(malamang binayaran sila para manggulo sa bayan perwisyo pa sa traffic. time and effort para sa mga pulis na imbis na gumawa pa sila ng mas mahalaga kesa ditto ) gumagawa ng mabuti ang pangulo para sa kabutihan ng lahat, ngawa ng ngawa ang mga ito, tanong ko anong kabutihan ba ang ginagawa ng mga ito para sa mamayan at sa mahal na bansa . nakakalungkot lang ng may problema sa agawan duon sa spratly islands wala sila . hindi nila sinuportahan ang taong bayan para ipaglaban ito. anyway proud of you as our President. Change is a thing that is only permanent in the world. Marcus is just a history now. What is important is today. I agree that pinoy should remain in presidency. He is the only president to start "tuwid na daan" after her mom. Wag ka mag alala kaibigan, kasi kung gagawa man siya ng kalokohan, tiyak pananagutan naman nuta yan. Kesa ibang tao na naman ang uupo. But what about: the Marcos cronies, summary killings, abduction, suppression of freedom of press and expression, corruption, Marcos' ill-gotten wealth, Imelda's thousand's shoes, Miranda bombing & massacre, Jabidah massacre that lead to the birth of MNLF, start and rise many of insurgencies in the country like MNLF, NPA as well as vigilante groups in 1970s like the ILAGA, civil war in Mindanao in 1970s, military human right's abuses, industrial protest, closure and bankruptcy of many mining & industrial companies (one example the Nonoc Mining Industrial Corporation where my father worked), the marked loss of the value of Philippine peso over the US dollar, martial law, death of democracy where there is no election, introduction of dictatorship in the country and many more which I could not remember because I was very young at the time... I do not know if you have really experienced the life during the Marcos regime...but at least I remember a few....
