Been enjoying since day 1. It's as close now as what I hoped for in 2016...the 5.0 patch blew my mind. That said; I'm still hoping for a little more love given to the fauna ie; behaviors and patterns instead of "aimless" wandering and maybe some contextual habitats instead of landing at a spot and having a random chance of scanning every creature within 5 minutes. It's a minor complaint but that would really turn it into a 10 for me.

During space jump weird lines appear, they doesnt look real, so remove them. Getting in and out of ships should be more realistic. Those ships cockpits must have functioning control panels, touch screens and buttons or 3d holograms. Avatars should rest and eat and have bots around to follow orders. Add autopilot to ships.

Multiplayer works flawlessly tho. This Ongoing Liquidators Expedition is amazing. Me and others randomly descending on the nests and on the sentinels burning them together. It really felt like we are all at a total war as a community. "I am doing my part". We are all doing our parts.
@digge22103 ай бұрын
@@impoppy9145 the thing is, speaking from day one, No Man's Sky promised more. An actual living Galaxy, Expeditions are nice and optimal for community, but it is not what the game meant to be, expeditions are just a part of it, in fact, Expeditions With a multyplayer update i mean: 1) multy role ships, or at least Freighters, with proper gunners positions 2) possibility to create Player guilds/Alliances, with no numbers restrictions 3) possibility to Claim Planets and systems, create Cities and share it/live in/ raid it/ conquer it with other players, and not with the base building mechanics, the Galaxy is enormous, without Portal codes or knowing the system, it's almost impossible to find a planet, there's Space for everyone 4) maybe asking too much but raising the server slots to 32 or more would be awesome, it would permit proper tourneys or planet/space battles And this are just 4 first things popping on my mind, but the most importants

Sorry bro...NMS never got the Superformula, you may not know what that is but it is the biggest feature HG promised 8 years ago and never delivered on. They literally showed proof of concept and then never implemented it. It would make everything procedural meaning every planet all the way down to leaves and dust unique and varied...WE NEVER GOT IT. NMS is good....but it could have been far better.

i am still wondering how Hello Games make enough money with this game after all these years. If there is a hype like it is now, a lot of existing players start playing this game again and since all the updates are free, Hello Games do not make any money from those. Most players do buy this game when it's on sale and if you reduce taxes and shop shares they make around USD 10,- to USD 14,- per buy. If you are running a company, even a small one with 30-50 employees you need around USD 120.000,- net income per month at least. Very roughly calculated you need to sell 10.000 copies per month to keep your company running. They would probably make more money if they would sell merchandising. I remember there was a shop at some point, but i am not sure if it still exists.

This game has now delivered on all its promises, but there's one thing no one talks about that will never make this game what it could have been for me. This thing was there from the beginning and I didn't like it even then and it ruined the whole thing for me. This thing is the storyline. Why the fuck did you have to point out that the whole game, with all the worlds, everything, is a simulation? I can't get into it, it's all kind of pointless. I had the same problem with the Assassin series, somehow it kills the game for me. Are there others like me with this thing?

hello games is easily THE most beautiful redemption tale EVER in the gaming industry. imagine being just a regular dude living his dream of running his own gaming studio and suddenly youre under global scrutiny and outrageous massive expections you never did stir up yourself to begin with. of course sean murray f'd it up back then! he did not know how to react better to all that insanity. with this, hello games, i feel helped the whole industry. it became more usual for smaller studios to say "we cant tell you when 1.0 is ready, its done when its done, be patient" instead of lying to everyone because of publisher pressure. still NMS is still too empty for me to really wanting to engage with it. dont know. im more of the empire builder, i feel it lacks the big "what you do now, will have big consequences later" endgame factor. i mean it has increased beyond all expectations - for a small time mobile game dev studio!!!!!!!!! but its still a random "samey samey planet with a bit of different creatures on it than the last one" exploration sim. its the "relax your mind and just explore and chill" version of serious space sims.

Hi I’m a newbie here. Never played the first version or earlier versions. I started playing for the first time in worlds part 1. The game is honestly so fun and sandbox-y. If you wanna become a pirate you can find an outlaw system and become one of their homies and do missions for them for big bucks. Wanna command your own fleet of aliens? Save a freighter from pirate attacks and the captain might be willing to just give your their ship for free. Want to explore and find cool planets? You can get a hyperdrive and open ur galaxy map to hyper warp to nearby star systems. I’ve found so many cool and interesting worlds some that i’ve grown attached to. I found a planet I dubbed “Lumiki” and called the system “Lukiari” I am now the overseer to a small settlement that is financially in debt and often gets attacked by pirates. Hopefully I can see this settlement grow into a fully fledged city. Any of that not your fortay? You can also find planets and hunt for treasures that you can sell for big bucks at any space station. Overall the game itself is beautiful and warping or using your thrusters is so satisfying. Sometimes I just put on music and explore the stars near me, finding cool and interesting planets and situations. I would recommend only if you don’t mind potentially spending thousands of hours playing it. ❤

Played it at release and also after the first big update and the game was complete and utter dog shit like 3/10 type bad, one of if not the biggest disappointment in gaming history (Though I think Cyberpunk 2077 holds that title for me), to see it turn around so much is wild and I am interested in jumping back in to see what its like today. Looking at gameplay I see only two gripes one being there's no hands in first person view so it looks dumb how guns just float or how the ship is basically flying itself, second being a lack of animations in general, you just teleport into your ship as an example. For a game where almost every single thing was a catastrophe to only having a couple gripes is a rather big improvement.

@OrangeNash4 ай бұрын
Yeah, lots of features added, but is it actually any good? Quantity is not quality. I haven't played it for 4 or 5 years. It was OK, but exactly as you said. Repetitive, not much to do. Pretty clouds and oceans etc are nice, but arent' enough for tempt be back. Actually, I do think it probably is the game we hoped for in 2014. Roughly. What we hope for isn't always what we really need, though! The attraction of huge, open worlds isn't as great for many as it used to be. Sounds great in the pre release hype. But I realised a smaller, more focussed world is better gameplay. Open world doesn't mean interesting choice when there is nothing of significance wherever you choose to go.

Nice clickbait but NMS is nowhere near in being complete. It's an endless grind for that better stat weapons or ships or whatever. It has a silly story and game lore, it seems the writer had to smoke marijuana, because a sane person could not come up with. They used 5 years of development time to develop another project and it shows. Updates are meh. There are in the NMS universe characters you care about. Updates are about more stuff or some polish here and there. People judge Starfield quite harsh and i agree on some. But what is great in Starfield you wander around and and a simple interaction can lead to a story unfolding which can keep you engaged for a couple of hours. That won't happen in NMS. It's soulless dead and the more planets you visit the more boring it becomes. The only thing what comes close to FUN in NMS are those Community events to outrush fellow players. But the events themselves are quite boring and copy paste from other events.
