HMMM Indiana is gaining population and Illinois is losing population?

I live there. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. True, around Lafayette it’s one big cornfield, but southern Indiana is beautiful.

Indiana is a large rural state with ultra conservative politics.

It would be even better without Indianapolis, Bloomington, Lafayette, or Fort Wayne. It'd be great to be the Midwest Montana.

Negative. Indiana is ran by CCP operatives that put R next to their name during elections.

Silly video dude. Population density & demographics in the same ballpark as Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and etc. Population & population density are both roughly in the top 1/3rd of states. Home of the entire Indy metro (2.1M people); suburbs of Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinnati; and 3 R1 college towns. Geographically, it's the smallest state west of the Appalachian Mountains - which is why some stats seem lackluster.

Well, you completely ignored the steel industry that dominated the region in the 20th century.

And into the 21st century..Nucor and SDI are major steel producers with numerous plants in the state

Never been to southern indiana?
@KL-wb8cxАй бұрын
@@clintonhummel8776 yes. That photo of Rocky peaks is absolutely not from Indiana. The entire state elevation ranges from 320' MSL to 1264' MSL a whopping 844 feet. I come from a mountainous state, where my house was at 2,500' and I could drive to parking lots at 9,000' in about 45 minutes- less time than driving across Indianapolis. Those are mountains. The picture referenced are mountains as well. What Indiana has is hills. More specifically, Indiana is a plateau with river, and runoff valleys. So, in short, @nebulakula5410 is completely correct.

Yes, I lived there for 14 years, and while the shot a few seconds later (at 4:19) looks like Brown County, there are no snowy, treeless massifs in southern Indiana.

A lot of this is simply zoning and state lines. While Indiana has Indianapolis, cities like Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinnati are nearby.

Overall I felt this was a disingenuous video meant to farm clicks. You provide little, if any, contextualised information. I felt like you did not provide sufficient analysis of the facts you introduced to make any claim about Indiana, let alone the things you said in this video. In my opinion you intentionally selected facts you felt would support your claim. Call it what you will; I challenge you to make a better attempt in your next videos

4:19 - Yup. I'm from Bloomington and that's _THE view_ to the SE from SR 46 as you top the hill on your way to Nashville, IN. When you live in lowlands like that it's kind of shocking to actually see that far...
