Why NOT to Buy The reMarkable 2

Here are 7 reasons why not to buy the remarkable 2 (and why they're not dealbreakers for everyone). I love this device, but I want to give you an honest review of the reMarkable 2 flaws and common remarkable problems so you can do your own research and make a decision that's right for you.
Let's discuss how to troubleshoot some of these issues, too, so that dealing with them isn't as annoying. I'm not saying don't buy the remarkable 2, but I am telling you what to be aware of beforehand.

E-ink devices never have backlight. When they have illumination (which is not the case with the Remarkable), they have frontlight, that works differently and is very pleasant to the eye in badly lit environments, especially when there is a warm yellowish light option. In the case of the Remarkable, this is a real dealbreaker to me, because when I use my Kindle I often have to turn the frontlight on to read comfortably. Another dealbreaker is the conversion of written text: I love to write by hand on my iPad and that's because of scribble, that converts my handwriting to text instantaneously, and I haven't found any e-ink tablet capable of doing that.

Exactly, yeah - it’s definitely personal preference. Remarkable does convert text-to-type, though I’m not sure that it performs as well as the iPad or others.

If your cellphone plan allows hotspotting then you could always quickly connect the remarkable to your cellphone’s connection to back it up while on the go and provide ease of mind that it’s immediately in the cloud. And even if you wanted it always connected this way at least it will never eat a lot of your data given it’s just file saving.

Don't own a remarkable. You're passionate and great at storytelling (well you are an author haha). A few suggestions (I'm clueless really). 20 mins was too long, maybe condense it to no more than 14 minutes ish? would have loved if you did a recording of the points you mention, like use the remarkable to show the lag time. I can see you want to make it look like it's informal and talking like acquaintances, but to me you are mixing up vlogging and tech review. I think you're personality shines so you can still do well with showing the product. you think deeply about the tech. I subscribed, keep experimenting with KZbin, find your niche and see what you enjoy.

Just one more suggestion if I may :D find a KZbinr that you aspire to be, like you like their style. male or female, whatever, it's what draws you to keep coming back to watch them. If you haven't got one, find one that is in your niche (or the niche you want to get into) then see what works for them. how are their doing their thumbnails, what topics are they covering. Find which video is doing the highest views. emulate the topics. Most of the times KZbinrs copy each other, don't have to reinvent the wheel. I wish you the best in your journey. Oh and It's weird I've just got into crypto and basically threw my life savings on it. I found out you have book recommendations on crypto! I'm actually interested in that lol I don't know if you know technical analysis, if you did , I think you can try talking about the coins you believe in, your portfolio etc. I heard "over 42K BTC moved from Mt. GOX out of 100k" from an experienced trader then the words "Are you ready?", he believes BTC has had his run and now it's alt season, which is going to get busy and fun! so a video on your favourite alt coins would be cool. also most of the people that will FOMO will enter the market. some advice on to keep their expectations and to also take profits before they are left holding the bag would be cool. get in on that part of the niche and get a nice subscriber count so you can start other things after the bull run

@@YvesThePoet Some more unsolicited advice from someone way smarter than me. If someone says they think something feels a little off, they're probably right. If someone tells you EXACTLY what they thought was wrong, they're speaking only of their own opinion and thus probably wrong. A better explanation would be that things that feel instinctively off to people tend to trancend opinions and will make most people feel the same way. Instincts are pretty universal. Those are good things to adjust around since they'll rub almost everyone the wrong way. Things that someone can explicitly tell you they didn't like are almost never on the instinctive level and thus are very concious and personal opinions. You can't make everyone happy, so best to ignore opinions and do what you're already doing. You did amazing and none of the things the person above explicitly stated were a problem bothered me in any way. Keep up the good work!
