why not try Vanillapup64?

‪@puppy_BYTE‬ shows why VP64 is special.
1. A "rolling release" distro
2. apt command : update, multiple app install can use synaptic, flatpak
3. uses the ram saver with zram swap good for low RAM
to update/upgrade : some pkgs may not upgrade by design.

absolutely stable in 64bit: F96-CE4, bookwormpup64, vanilladpup64. fastest IMHO: voidpup64, followed by vanilladpup64. Purely subjective in my i5-16G RAM PC.
