@@majora919hynra is objectively one of the best players in pvp, exclusively uses off meta, has great aim, and arguably one of the best movement based players in the game, I’m not saying he is better than wallah or buincey, but he definitely deserves respect when we are in a discussion regarding off meta especially glaives or bows

@ stats don’t really mean anything, I have a friend who is over a 3.5 in trials and used to be top 50 in rumble but I can go head to head with him in private matches, stats are more so just a measure of how much time are you willing to dedicate, not a sign of how good you actually are, otherwise, gjake would be the best player in the game, but he is objectively worse than most other pvp streamers

I would do the same with that nezaracs glaive with stasis hunter cold dodge with the mask of bakris. Fun times. Tried it the other day and everyone and their moms was not having it. Too much passive play in huge hands holding groups laning with pulses

People hate off-meta in general. D2 players are a hive mind for the most part, and so they look down on off-meta stuff thus raging more when being beat by it. Let it be known that they believed for years that Antaeus were fine and not fundamentally the best exotic in the game till conditional came out.

Rake angle chill clip is busted, it has so many pairing options, i’ve been using bxr with snapshot, its so quick and players panic when slowed its crazy

It's kinda funny hoiw I've rarely put time into using the Glaive on its own, as I've been absolutely addicted to pairing it with a Bow. When you run that combo the glaive is ALWAYS the cleaup tool, so I don't need to worry about anything beyond high handling and one very consistent shot. When you use the Glaive to initiate you've got a whole lot more issues to think of, as you need to both rely on the shield more often and you need something to make that cleaup as fast as possible. I definitely should spend some more time just practicing Glaives on their own. They are a super fun weapon, I've just been too focused on them as a very specific style of cleanup weapon.

Now use Ergo Sum with a wave frame and the Ticuu's perk. You don't spawn with ammo and you also don't get it from the wall, but if you get a brick from a kill, you can team wipe with it.

Ngl. I went and played halo infinite for a few days and man it was sooooooo nice to just shit on kids with aim. I didnt have to worey about 40 smokes, clones, not being punsihed bcuz my teammate died to a titan melee and instantly kills me bcuz im frozen. Playing halo again made me realize just how shitty pvp is in destiny. Its sucks bcuz the shooting mechanics is amazing in destiny. But the constant ability spam, green ammo only users, super chaining, and awful campers makes the game come up short.

Defo a fun loadout in low skill brackets. I still run bow glaive which I think is more consistent and there is a huge advantage with the stasis glaive, you just need to learn how to instaswap from bow to glaive, which is not really easy. I can't but appreciate the effort to find niche builds that are just fun and threat the game as a sandbox rather than a minmaxing wank

Glaives are much better at handling specifically precision based weapons, for example sniper rifles, scout rifles, handcannons, hell even pulse rifles and slug shotguns. Stuff that doesn't need headshots heavily counter glaives- fusions and pellet shotguns, as well as SMGs and sidearms. So generally speaking they have a small place in the meta, but are really situational unless you can place yourself in the perfect spots every single fight.

I only play glaive when it’s just time to do something not so serious in pvp. That being said, iron banner is a perfect place to play party mode glaive. I really prefer swash on glaive for this reason - just for highlights or montages. Swash X 5 makes it fun to 1-hit with the projectile, and you rarely lose a duel with the melee once it’s rolling. I like to pair it with a medium range weapon like an auto rifle or pulse depending on the map. Sometimes I go all in on short range and use smg or sidearm. Khostov is an amazing pairing because it’s a little too strong.

Glaives SUCK in pvp now for the primary reason that melees are totally broken. It is sooo annoying to be beating the shite out of someone with a glaive only for them to just punch you once with an uncharged melee and kill you instantly.

Not as good as pre-FS but it's not that bad. The meta has shifted to favouring long range primaries because special weapons run rampant (again) and there are a few annoying class/ability outliers as always... so basically it's still D2 PvP. As always, it has it's pros and cons. Primary weapon balance is really good though with the exception of 340 and two burst pulses being a bit too strong. And we got I think 4 new maps and a couple returning ones over the last 18 months if I remember right.
