I always sing your praises Jack. However, it was in watching this video (after having just recently watched another reviewer) that I was struck again by the professional, intelligent, relatable and obviously knowledgeable way that you review boats. You are able to express your obvious experience with boats to your audience that clearly conveys ideas and educates us to boat life especially when it comes to the technicalities that one would normally only come understand by actually experiencing it. Thanks Jack!

What a beautiful BEAUTIFUL vessel she is. I am amazed by how well thought out, functional and beautifully appointed the guest areas are, how well designed and executed the engineering and mechanical areas are and how awesome the whole boat is. The perfect choice for a family to use for cruising the Med. Love it!

I appreciate this boat. I am a minimalist and this yacht was one of the cleanest and least cluttered I have ever seen on the internet. Additionally, everything is laid out with minimal effort on a crew, captain, and guests, which is very impressive. It is not very difficult to understand why this floater won Boat of the Year! Congratulations.

One notable omission, from my perspective...comments on hull & deck construction/materials/layup would make this excellent review so much better. Some of us don't just buy the aesthetics of boats but also the underlying construction. If this is meant to be a long-range cruiser then confidence in the hull integrity would be top of mind for serious buyers. Thanks for listening! William in Singapore.

As always, a great video review. As someone who has a Saxdor 400 GTC on order, a third of the price mind you, I’m so glad the wife hasn’t seen this video. I’m very impressed with this boat and as someone who in the past bought a Lagoon 56, all I can say is if I was doing it again, I would get a boat like this instead because I spent more time on motors than under sail.
@nextari5 ай бұрын
good to hear. that was my exact thinking, with that range and fuel economy this could make sense over a large cat. I wonder how you might be able to deal with crossing the pacific from the US. You would need an additional tank. I wonder if it would be stable for ocean crossings without a sail to leverage.
@OmikronYachts5 ай бұрын
Dear @@nextari, extra tank arrangement for up to 3,800 ltrs are available. The boat is very stable with minimal rolling due to low displacement, low COG and wide waterline length. It is also a category A boat.

I do like this concept. Looks like its designed for sailors looking to move to power, without the desire to motor quickly. Run an engine all day, and spend $60 on fuel. Like the low profile which creates a very sleek nautical style - again akin to a beautiful sailboat versus the floating condo look of taller motor yachts.

This jumps right up my list for singlehand liveaboard! Closest mono I've seen to a cat. I love the glasshouse saloon. Galley down always gives a so much more functional kitchen and real fridge without blocking helm views. Great that it doesn't have enormous helm seats blocking visibility. I would definitely have solar across the top for maximum hybrid operation. Be even better if the cockpit canopy extended further back for more solar. And a door at the helm. Bow crew cabin I'd make a workshop. You didn't touch on stabilisation? I assume gyro? Looks like you could beach it too for maintenance in the field.
@OmikronYachts5 ай бұрын
Dear @ashleykerlin, up to 4.5 kW of solar can be fitted as an option on the roof. A door helm is not available but exterior helm for docking is available in the aft port quarter.

How might one get a boat like this from USA to South Pacific? Probably best to ship it there on cargo boat. With the shallow draft, it's probably not stable enough for crossings as you don't have a sail to stabilize. You need about 3k nm range to hop from LA to Hawaii to Marshall's. Crazy idea but I wonder if you could mount spare tanks on the swim deck. 2,000 ltr fuel = 3k pounds/ 1.5k kg - plus tank weight so it would probably need structural integration.
@OmikronYachts5 ай бұрын
Dear @nextari, range of up to 3,000 Nm with optional tanks of 3,800ltrs is possible. The boat is really stable due to its very low COG and wide waterline.

I’m besotted 🎉 I often find myself favouring the interior and space of sailing cruisers, being brought up in the late sixties/seventies, numerous Broads adventures on fairly austere craft, even old then…… I’ve had a small sports cruiser and 33 knots clean was fun…….. but not for long. I longed for cruising, maybe it’s my advancing years, but I still ride motorbikes and drive a particularly fast car…… I absolutely love every aspect of this, the style, the obvious but subtle quality, the engines and technical installation. I didn’t see the price and it’s probably for the best as I doubt I could flog enough internal organs to finance it……. LOTTO 🎉 fingers crossed….

Phenomenal presentation, my first of this channel. The cameraman disappears as we are invited to an intimate, detailed, and respectful tour. This is actually the first motor vessel I've considered over a sailing yacht. 1 liter per nm is astounding. My only question is if the galley atrium comes at the cost of other space, but that would have to be seen in person. The one other concern was the escape hatch for the master suite appears to be on the side, due to it's height. I suppose if there's one on each side, it's good enough. Great show!

Beautiful boat well suited to a long Med cruise with daily port-to-port segments. For offshore, Robert Bebe would likely have some objections. Two come to mind: The broad flat hull likely has much initial stability but a very sharp roll motion at sea. And a safe night watch would require complete lights-out in the galley area. You might resolve this with a kind of roll-out light-proof awning over the galley. Without this the night watch would be a nightmare of reflections from all of that wonderful glass. (To be seaworthy, that glass should be virtually bullet-proof, of course.)

At first, i had no intention of looking at this …too big for a retired couple and too expensive for my wallet. But then, i realized this boat is exactly where my curiosity laid. My wish is for a 30’ cabin cruiser, like a saxdor 320 gtc or quarken 35 etc. the OT60 has the same basic shape as the small cabin cruisers. Then i heard the 12/15knot speed and long range cruising, then i knew the parameters of this boat was exactly what i was looking for. My interest was in a comfortable long range slower traveler, so i the bow shape for cutting through water rather than planing like the small cruisers do at 40mph. It was the bow i wanted on the saxdor. I read there’s a nearly 13’ mast on this?

After just finishing the American Great Loop, I am fascinated by the cruising range (@ 3 mpg) and the layout... very comfortable looking for a 60 footer (which is small enough for the Great Loop! Would have to check the air draft.). One thing I noticed, which I think is an oversight on the builders part, is redundancy on the fuel filters. On The Loop (a bit over 6,500 miles) we had to change fuel filters several times. The guys with the dual filters made it look so easy. They could bypass one filter, and change it out while using the other. However, very beautiful, very cool boat, and plenty fast for the Loop. I am curious what the base asking price is of course! Oh, now I see one comment... $1.9 million... I was expecting closer to 3! Wonder what it would cost to ship to the US? 😊

Dear @ddbbloch4457, air draft is 4.9m (16’1’’). It can be reduced to 4.1m (13’5’’) with a pivoting mast. Duplex fuel filters, fuel polishing system and extended range tanks (4,000 ltrs in total) are all options.

Gave it a like because the nice walkthrough but I really question the range. It is marketed as a long range cruiser but when I try to find specs for this, all it says is 1200l tank gives 1000 miles at 8 knots............??? So how far do one get at 6 knots on 1 engine? What is the real max range? Can one put more tankage on it? Can I go across the atlantic?
