Opioids in particular are especially hard to kick, if not (seemingly) nearly impossible. It’s a painful life man, and trust me they’ve long had enough of it. It’s a vicious cycle. Big pharma pays search engines and shill academics to smear kratoms name though because it cuts into their pain killers and methadone profits. Check out forums and get people's anecdotal experiences. Just take tolerance breaks regularly and you'll be fine. Very easy to taper if you go a little too long without a tolerance break too.

But a several dozen month long pain pill _habbit_ (as you call it), will give you a prolonged ego death that is unattainable by anything else outside of becoming a upstate NY monk after high school.
