They suck because they give you free lenses for the same price others give just the body! They should be expensive like all the other brands and stay expensive! So that the stupid people that buy a product the first day it comes out will feel better!

Sony's business is thriving. They don't feel the need to give people more incentives to buy their cameras or lenses. Price cuts happen when things don't sell well. It's standard practice, happens all the time and it's a good thing for the customers. Their cameras and lenses are solid, the footage and stills out of their cameras look stunning and are amazing to work with. I own and use a Sony system but I've used all major brands extensively, and I can confidentially recommend Panasonic gear to people given that they meet their needs. Yours is the most delusional take I've ever heard.

People were making a huge deal about the S9 launch because some people want to make themselves seem morally superior and the best reviewers. You're just making a huge deal over nothing. The S9 is fine, there was nothing wrong with the launch. The reviews are fine. People say stupid things that kill product launches. It's not a scam, most cameras coming out today are really good.

Cameras are tools. If there's a problem maybe it's not the tool that sucks. I own some older MFTs, a GX85, LX100 and a EM1 mkii. They have their place such as maintaining a low-profile while doing street photography or travelling light. Lenses are a fraction of the size and cost of full frame. Yes, high resolution full frame has its advantages, but they are different tools for different jobs. You wouldn't bring a luxury car to pick up a load of lumber. Would you? lol

Panasonic has always been in 5th or 6th place in the camera market, is not like they are doing worse than 5 or 10 years ago, brands with smaller marketshare like Panasonic, olympus, pentax have historically been agressive with their price cuts and sales, they have to in order to compete.

It's important to do some research next time. "Maybes" are not enough. The truth is, Panasonic has been out of the competition for some time and is now trying to catch up by experimenting with new technology. It's important to understand that Panasonic's market share is relatively small compared to Sony and Canon, so they need to offer enticing discounts to attract late adopters. Additionally, it would be beneficial to research their R&D efforts and the new technologies they are incorporating into their cameras to understand why their future is promising.

I don’t understand! Lumix is the best value cameras. I just purchased 3 Lumix s5 iix cameras a couple of months ago and sold my Sony and Canon. Are you saying LUMIX sucks because they offer competitive prices, discounts, and are trying to get influencers to talk about their cameras? S9 was a let down but the GH7 is really amazing and they might announce the S1H II on Tuesday

Have you used any of these cameras you complain about? I just got a s5iiX and it’s great. I also shoot canon and own Sony as well as Blackmagic. So I can see value in a camera that does so much. Price is cheap as they want market share, it is t because it’s bad so it’s not the mystery you are claiming.

Sony also give away lenses. For 50000 INR sony sold a6000 with 16-15mm and 55-210mm lens. Canon sold m200 with kit lens for 25000 INR. Fuji xt200 with kit lens for 40000.

You’re right. LUMIX sucks. Paid creators that are biased that choke on the eggplant for free gear, using stock footage claiming it’s their own, sub par performance on all of their gear, failure to listen to the customer. Gh7 in FF would be amazing

There’s been a lack of innovation and an overreliance on influencers to sell their cameras. The GH6 was a major failure for them, and the only way to recover might be offering a trade-in deal to get as many of them off the market as possible.
