Hi everyone! A lot of tourists wonder why Parisian waiters often reply in English, even when they try speaking French. As a former waitress in Paris (back when I was a student), I wanted to share my experience with you. In this video, I explain how your accent can play a role, but what really matters is pronunciation! French has so many sounds that can easily lead to misunderstandings if not pronounced correctly. Enjoy the video, and don’t worry - I’ve got some tips for you! ^^"

I loved this video! All of those reasons are valid. I figured when I go to Paris, I’ll just order in English and then I’ll practice my French in other cities that have fewer English speakers. I know Paris is fast-paced just like in NY.

@@iamashleylbrown I am happy you liked it! 🤗Paris is super busy especially during the touristic season, but it will definitely be a different experience in smaller places ^^ I come from a little town near Paris and it’s a different world 😅

🙃 bon courage 🌸
